Looks good in open dessert terrain with no other obstacles, what happens when we have a densely populated area with a lot going on.

That's actually China's forte right now, America and the Soviet Union signed a Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, but that was when Russia was the Soviet Union.

Well clearly Geran or Shahid is much larger.. 3.5 by 2.5-2.7 meter vs Smol 1.2 by 0.95 m Zala Kub. The thing definitely pack punch and being much longer range overall. Consequently produces bigger boom.

Then you better damn sure where the target is then plan a good mission course if you wish to use it as standoff weapon. or get a version with Ground control station so your operator can manually identify the target.. No different than typical cruise missile.

Shahed or Geran-2 also packs much more endurance than Kub. If the claim of 1800-2000 Km range are good.. which i think realistic. If it converted into loiter time. Assuming 120 km/h loiter velocity it can last 17 Hours in the air. Like Harop it can have defense suppression mission, eliminating Ukrainian early warning radars or random emitter. Or maybe ambushing some convoy but that requires good intelligence or we would have tired operator staring at screen for hours.

and it appears to be quite stealthy. I did some comparison of frontal RCS of some "current trend" system. Which includes the commercial UAV's.

Modern Russian missiles and rockets use microchips imported from the West. It is not a chronic problem as they allegedly claim, there are some Russian companies that build microchips, but at a lower quality cost, which will directly impact the performance of Russian systems, but apparently they have established a reserve of imported components in case of an embargo. as is the current case.

The Donetsk government claims its forces have captured the Zhovanka settlement in Donetsk oblast south of Bakhmut/Artemivsk.

Wow, to think a multi-million dollar missile depends on a few hundred dollars of semiconductor parts is amazing and tell you how far electronics have come.

HI Sutton has become kind of a joke after this war with the way he started to write.

The amount of especulation in this article written in an almost fanboyish way.

In my rubbish bin I have these or more advanced component on boards.

And just as a proof of concept I fixed boards with lifting out ram ICs from one board and planted it into a place of a bad IC.

This was my first project, and worked, so if it needed they can source the parts from scrapyard if needed.

So expecting any sanctions to work is a dream in good case


Those components can be found on pc motherboards, expansion cards, phones and so on.

If they are off the shelf chips then they are not hardened against stuff like radiation or ew interference.

Recruit training from both sides.
