They are not of the same class. Switchblade could not target heavy machinery.
That's pretty much what I thought when they first introduced it as a drone that you can fit in a backpack.

There might also be OPSEC requirements from the US side, it's one of the relatively new piece of equipment that's been given after all. Or they are just getting swatted out of the sky via EW, not enough information to know.If anything you would expect to see more from the switchblade.
I think it is too unreliable and difficult to be used compared to dropping a grenade sized bomb from a hobby drone.

How is Ukrainian electric warfare?I find it strange how Russia achieved more with its Iranian drones in a single week than Ukriane did with the switchblade weeks for half a year.
Lack of training or is the drone itself so bad?
seems that switchblade drones are not that easy to use and that have forced Ukrainians to use modified DJI drones or other commercial ones.I'm actually expect more radars or air defense site got disabled or destroyed by switchblade attacks but it seems it never the case.
Right, but could a shell loiter over a predetermined area, waiting for targets?still much more expensive (~$100k+) than dumb gun shell (~$500) and guided rocket (~$50k-$100k). It's another tool in the kit.
Wow. This is basically equivalent of USSR losing a SMK prototype in Finland during Winter War. Sad.Looks like the Ukrainians bagged themselves their first T-90M. Wont make much difference on it's own, but the fact is that this abandoned tank was unlikely to have been operated by conscripts. No apparent attempt to destroy it either.
Yep so it's just another tool in the box.Right, but could a shell loiter over a predetermined area, waiting for targets?

Ah, the old OPSEC excuse for why Ukrainians aren't providing any evidence for their claims. OPSEC has nothing to do with it. Ukrainians have posted a few videos of switchblades in action (many of them missing). If they had more they'd release more. There might also be OPSEC requirements from the US side, it's one of the relatively new piece of equipment that's been given after all.
