The War in the Ukraine

Too little attention is paid to the economic crisis in Ukraine. They depreciated their currency by 25% yesterday. They have frozen repayments on some foreign bonds (de facto default) and there's reports that the EU and the US are hesitant to send billions since they believe a lot of that money will go into offshore bank accounts.

Russia may not need to conquer all the territory it wants before Ukraine capitulates, as the economic crisis may force a resolution sooner.

Ukraine is losing a lot of people, fast. Mass emigration is an issue in Ukraine. And now with forever war, the pace has only quickened.

TOS thermobaric MRLS shooting rockets.

Mariupol was neglected by Kiev because it is a Russian speaking city. It fell into despair after USSR collapsed. Now it is being rebuilt back to its Soviet era glory.

looks like Ukrainian nominal GDP is going to drop by 50%+ this year. Russia could take this opportunity to inflict further economic damage:

1. cut electricity from Kakhovka dam and Zaporizhzhia generating station going to hostile regions of Ukraine
2. cut the interconnects between EU and Ukrainian grids with precision munitions
3. target coal fired and natural gas power plants

Russians are genetically Uralic people. Asians. Not very brutal. Not like Anglo Saxons who slaughter civilians by the millions for example nuking Japan in WW2.

there's no slaughter here. power plants have low manning levels, switch interconnects are unmanned.

they can eat all that wheat they've not been exporting.

True, but it causes humanitarian disaster. Millions of Ukrainians would suffer. Of course, if this were Anglo Saxons instead of Russians, all the dams on the Dnipr river would been gone by now. Flooding be damned.

Su-25 attack near Seversk.

BTW, does anyone know what happened to the anti terror operation ATO the Kiev regime launched in 2014? Is it still on?

Nearly 10 million Ukrainians have fled Ukraine for a better life in the West. Ukraine's population is shrinking fast. Wouldn't surprise me if Ukraine's population has fallen below 30 million by now.
