Don't think so, if you look at the terrain, seversk-bakhmut sits at the foot of a ridge, terrain from there westward favours defenders. taking those two fortress cities will require a more concerted effort than just the forces chasing fleeing Ukrainian troops now. It is better to take an operational pause around the Sloviansk sector and push for another offensive around the Gorlivka-Donetsk sector, to keep Ukraine on its toes.
Ukraine on the other hand is investing hard into Kherson, which would be great for them if they can achieve their stated objective, though I see it as unlikely at this point. is it a diversion tactic to draw Russians away from Donbass? maybe. but if they are serious about taking all of Kherson and fails, it would mean the end of their offensive power similar to German failure at Kursk.
