The War in the Ukraine

Considering the Iranians have been accused of everything under the sun since 1979 by the US, without a single shred of evidence, I think we can safely add this to the list of BS until proven otherwise

Western Propaganda media is becoming more desperate as their Ukro lemmings continue to get slaughtered. I suspect they plan to frame Iran by making such absurd accusations and then demand that Iran stop cooperation with Moscow. Typical arrogant western behavior.

Looks like the war is going to be dragged on for years if other countries are getting involved to help Russia. On this note, it must be a pretty big blow to Russian psyche to have to rely on Iran for weaponry.
The most advance thing about the UAV is not the plane, but the satellites that allow one to control the planes remotely. There are only four countries/regions that have their own satellites, U.S., China, Europe and Russia. Without it, you need line of sight radio control which is very limiting. The Iranians do not own their own satellites so I doubt the Russians will need their UAVs. They can simply go to the Chinese market and buy a civilian one for an eye in the sky type functions.

They're not completely useless.

If people are claiming Sullivan is lying about this, why would they blame Iran instead of China?

I wouldn't completely dismiss that story. Iranian drones are good and have dodged US air defences in Saudi Arabia repeatedly. Unlike most drone manufacturers they are not dependent on western technology. There aren't many countries that have the experience with drone warfare Iran has.

If Russia is unable to get drones from China, Iran would be the next option.

We'll know in the next month if Iranian drones start appearing.

This is the most logical thing for Russia to do IMO

It looks like in the last two weeks Ukrainians had blown up more than a half (out of around 90) battalion level ammunition depots using HIMARS launchers and GMLRS. As I wrote earlier it will make things much harder for Russians. Out of the many explosions tonight's from Nova Kakhovka looks especially... well, it's worth to watch.

As for the losses that were discussed - it seems like Ukrainians have much better WIA/KIA ratio. On the other hand I've heard many opinions that Russians is pretty similar to WWII days. In short - Ukrainians have more wounded, Russians have more killed soldiers. There are no solid numbers - maybe in 20-30 years we'll get real numbers from both sides like we did after WWII.

Again the HIMARs are not a game changer. They will be like the manpads, atgms,Turkish Drones. Theyll make cool social media videos but won’t change the outcome of the war. Only have tactical effect but change nothing on the battlefield strategically. HIMARs operate under the assumption of total air superiority which the Ukrainians do not have. They will hit their targets but sooner than later counter battery strikes will destroy them. Secondly Russia has a 10 to 1 artillery advantage. For HIMARS to be effective Ukraine would need hundreds maybe even thousands to cover the entire frontline from Kharkov to Kherson. Not the few they have so far. They will hit ammo depots here and there but won’t change nothing. It’s akin to the atgms the Syrian rebels had. It made great videos on social media. But didn’t really stop the Syria and allies offensives. If Ukraine and their delusional fans think these weapons will help them retake loss territory they are in for a major disappointment. Plus the last few days Russia has been hitting Ukrainian forces heavily since Saturday by attacking their rear. Killing officers and foreign fighters in rear bases. They are methodically bombarding the Ukrainian positions in a massive way reducing their numbers in the Siversk/Soledar/Bahkmut line. The writing is on the wall.

it is claimed a M777 was hit by Krasnopol

Interestingly, the Ukrainian forces are attacking not only the Russian ammunition depots but their main logistics routes... The last few weeks have softened potions, destroyed warehouses and attacked logistics routes in Kherson

HIMARS is a big deal, but it is only child's play compared to Smerch / Tornado-S and Iskander. HIMARS has a moderate diameter of 227 mm and max range 70 km with GPS guided rounds. Smerch / Tornado-S by comparison is much bigger at 300 mm and has range 120 km with GLONASS guided rounds. Iskander has the power of a good sized aerial bomb and range more than 400 km.
