The War in the Ukraine

The 10,000 killed, 30,000 wounded numbers were the last official number released by Ukraine up to June 3rd. There's been a month of fighting since then including the loss of several strategically important towns so the number will be higher.

Given they're rounded I think both numbers are estimates rather than actual numbers, I also find it weird that the wounded number is exactly 3x the KIA count.

They also didn't release the numbers of MIA, a lot of families have hope their sons/husbands didn't die and instead deserted or were captured. Ukrainian civilian death claims appear to be unrealistically high (5x UN numbers), I imagine a lot of soldiers are being considered civilians. There was a BBC report the other day about a "war crime" where a TDU unit who changed into civilian clothes were caught and (allegedly) executed on the spot for perfidy. No doubt Ukrainians are counting them as civilians rather than combatants.

Similar range to the newer BM-30s, worse than PHL-16 in basically all aspects.

Certainly useful equipment for Ukraine which is in dire need of more artillery, regardless of quality. But you'd need hundreds in order to rebuild Ukraine's long/medium range capabilities.

There's what? 12 M142 out of which 2 were destroyed so 10 active right now? And talks of bringing in up to 50 after Ukraine "show success" with the existing ones. If 50 are provided, it would help replace Ukrainian losses on a scale that may affect individual battles.
Problem is looks like the Russians could destroy 10-15% of HIMARS/week ,means deploying lot of them will be same benefit, but without keeping a constant supply they will be just wasted like every other system.

There is no mass and momentum.
