US to run out of Javelin missiles for Ukraine – media

Within months, the Pentagon will reportedly be unable to send some weapons to Kiev without emptying their own inventory

End Game is likely approaching. Bloomberg saying within months but I don’t think it will take that long. Back in early April, it was reported 1/3 of US javelin stockpiles was sent to Ukraine and that was 2 months ago.

Javelin cannot defeat artillery barrage anyway... it will still hurt advancing troops but most of the operators will be dead. They cannot continue like that, it will be conscript soon that will use these weapons anyway with no knowledge more or less of how it works. It's also bulky and you are not carrying these while taking cover so it will leave ready launchers in vulnerable area of shrapnel.

A court in Donetsk has sentenced to death three foreign men, who served in the Ukrainian forces and fought for Kiev in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). British citizens Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, as well as Moroccan Saadun Ibrahim, were found guilty on Thursday of acting as mercenaries and attempting to seize power by force in the DPR.

They were also accused of undergoing training in order to carry out terrorist activities on the territory of the state, which was recognised by Russia in February. Kiev, and most of the world, regards it as a breakaway province of Ukraine.

Under the laws of the DPR, the forcible seizure of power carries a penalty of between 12 and 20 years behind bars, but it can be escalated to capital punishment due to the aggravating circumstances of war time. Acting as a mercenary is punishable by a prison sentence of three to seven years.

The three men were tried on several criminal charges. They pleaded guilty to “undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities” and attempting to forcefully topple the government in Donetsk, but denied being mercenaries hired by Kiev.
The convicted men may appeal the decision in court, which they plan to do, or request a pardon from the head of the DPR. If they win the appeal, the capital punishment could be reduced to up to 25 years in prison. According to DPR laws, the death penalty is carried out by firing squad.

The three fighters were captured in or near Mariupol, a port city that the DPR claims as part of its sovereign territory. It saw weeks of intensive fighting and eventually a blockade of thousands of Ukrainian troops at a steel plant. They later surrendered to Russian and DPR forces.

London has demanded that its citizens be treated as prisoners of war under the Geneva Conventions. However, Britain is not formally at war with the DPR.

Authorities in the DPR have said they consider them to be mercenaries, who are not granted the same privileges as regular combatants under international law.

You can solve any supply problem with money. Ukrainians will start accusing the west of abandoning them and they'll be forced to cough up. America just needs to print more dollars for their MIC, problem solved.

There's still lots of platforms we haven't seen, have any of the leopards turned up yet?

I suspect that the Russians want to degrade the UAF as much as possible in the meat grinder that is Donbas to the point where the average Ukranian soldier is a conscript.

We'll then see another 200,000 soldiers cross the border and the overwhelming fresh firepower will break Ukraine's morale and ability to fight back.
If Russia sends 200,000 extra troops they will likely be laden with conscripts and reservists aswell. Most of their professional soldiers are already in Ukaine and the rest are kept for a minimum defensive posture against NATO, Georgia and Japan.

Apparently, the inability to manufacture enough chips is proving to be a major bottleneck in the US’s ability to keep Ukrainian forces supplied with arms. I didn’t expect the Javelin to have 50 times as many chips as a modern smartphone:

“"I talked to all the national defense contractors recently, who are working overtime in the Ukraine replenishment issue and their biggest pain point is chips," Raimondo said at a Senate Commerce hearing in April. "There are 250 chips or more in every Javelin launching system. This has to happen - it has to happen now."

The javelin is an quite old military equipment and although that kind of equipment does require some specialty chips and sensors like mems accelerometers and bolometers but that doesn't seem out of reach for a fab like Skywater Technologies or Texas Instruments.

So its seems some bullshit here and they don't want to say they run out of money for Ukraine already.
