They will use airplanes cruise missiles instead ? Maybe it's why they are talks about Su-57 doing sam clean-up.
I was being sarcastic. Those Harpoons are old Block 1 which have a max range of 140km while Kalibrs sit at around at 600km and up to +1500km at least. Even the export version outranges the Harpoons.

A shipment of T-80BV being moved near Moscow. A lot of them.

Eh why ? Harpoons is not SAM's.

and Kalibr is 1000+ km range missile. Russian ship in Caspian Sea can reach Ukraine too.
Was more talking about protecting their bombers from SAM to use them in clear airspace. I would not fly a Tu-22 for carpet bombing or to launch shorter range cruise missile like Kh-15 for targeting north west Ukraine right now without a better SEAD clean-up...

Kalibr can reach nearly all the west to the north if they are on the line of these naval missiles extreme range. I would not play with fire. It depend of the target... south west no problems, north west not sure that Kalibr can reach all. Missiles in Belarus can reach them tho.

As predicted. Weather or not it gets carried out is a different story. We might start to see some horse trading soon.

Reddit going full copium over this sentencing.

The mercenaries sentenced to death can appeal the decision of the DPR court within a month and ask for pardon. If the head of the DPR pardons the convicts, the death penalty can be commuted to life or 25 years in prison. The death penalty is carried out by firing squad.

This map displaying unit deployments from both sides was put together by an Italian military history. He states his sources are a mixture of data mining news reports as well as human sources on both sides.

He has a youtube channel in Italian called Parabellum

My take as an armchair general and keyboard warrior is that Russia should scrap their junk aircraft carrier and put the money into more Orion drones. The battle field should be full of drones like flies in an outhouse so that the uaf get scared to even blink and if they even dare to breath wrong they get a missile up their...
I agree with this the Kuznetsov is a money sink at this point much like the other 1970s/1980s Soviet ships (Kirov, Slava). The money shouldn’t be used towards the army though. The Russian Navy is in a much more precarious position right now especially because of the lack of air defense vessels.

I'm sure the BSF can't use Kalibrs to hit targets in western Ukraine anymore.

Funny thing I don’t think there will be an amphibious assault on Odessa. It’s going to be assaulted via land. And from the looks of it outside of the Donbas the next heavily fortified places are the major cities. Which means the surrounding areas will be taken with realities ease for the Russians. Not to mention it’s all flat land from Donbas to Odessa. I can see the Russians take the entire Odessa oblast, surround the city and put it under siege.

That is probably what’s gonna happen. Russia hasn’t been all that aggressive for the last couple months. Moving the operation at a slow and steady pace instead of pushing. Storming Odessa from the Sea would mean a change in strategy.

The Moroccan guy should be able to get off. He was a student in Ukraine when the invasion happened and joined the Ukrainian army.

As for the other two, they're both illegal combatants and deserve everything that they get. I'd rather they were given a long spell in the gulag compared to the firing squad, but that is the prerogative of the competent DPR authorities.

There is a good life lesson here. If you don't want to be executed don't travel to a country with the death penalty and then commit a crime punishable by the death penalty.

PLEASE CITE THE SOURCE OF THAT ONE:

There was a third western militant caught who was loitering around Bucha at the time of the massacre there by his own account. Turns out he had a notebook on him with the numbers of dead civilians in it. Now he really is f**ked.

I suspect that the Russians want to degrade the UAF as much as possible in the meat grinder that is Donbas to the point where the average Ukranian soldier is a conscript.

We'll then see another 200,000 soldiers cross the border and the overwhelming fresh firepower will break Ukraine's morale and ability to fight back.
