Ukrainian 2S1 Gvozdika SPG in support of the Kursk offensivr, gets knocked out by a Lancet near the border. Most channels say it's a Krab. I personally think it's a Gvozdika with a drone cage on it.

Ukraine is doing way more with less troops than Russia did with 50k troops deployed to Kharkiv front. Lets see how wide Ukraine can expand its "buffer zone" in Kursk.

During the Cold War the Soviets had supremacy in terms of conventional military equipment.
They also had the Warsaw Pact. So an invading NATO force reaching Soviet territory would be something unthinkable. The tactical nukes were supposed to be used over German territory, not their own.

All this does is further boost the case for expanding the Russian security buffer zone against NATO.

Does anyone remember the Ukrainian offensive last summer, which barely made a dent against prepared Russian defenses? They captured a hamlet or two. Well now this summer even those meager gains by Ukraine have been lost. They lost Robotyne. Plus Avdiivka, an actual city which is a railway node, and other areas.

The Ukrainians had some reserves they probably pulled from the Belarus border and elsewhere and did this push. Good luck with that.

Tactics of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region of Russia. Mikhail Zvinchuk, the author of the project "Rybar", published a video of the tactics of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region of Russia. According to him, Ukrainian troops entered in small groups of three to six armored vehicles. Tactics of action, a third of the group pins down a Russian stronghold, others bypass it, entering nearby settlements and organizing ambushes on the roads, mining them.
Russian reinforcements are attacked, after which the Ukrainian group leaves the village. Thus, it seems that many villages are controlled by the Ukrainian army. Which can lead to panic and misinterpretation of the military situation on the ground.
Let me remind you that the Ukrainian army, numbering up to a thousand people, attacked the border area of the Kursk region of Russia on August 6 at 5:30 am. Military operations in the Kursk region continue, the Russian army is pulling in reserves.

I do see small detachments of Ukrainian soldiers in these advances on the Kursk axis. If it is as stated, there is no consolidation of the terrain, only an action of penetration as far as they can. With the reserves that the ZSU is deploying in the area, there may be some consolidation, but from this perspective, they can lose the ground as quickly as they managed to gain it just as it was with the raids of "Russian volunteers"

That looks like 13 infantry transport trucks destroyed, upwards of 100 KIA. Potentially up to 400 casualties inflicted in that strike alone. Russians claim it was a HIMARS strike, by the looks of it possibly tungsten rain.
The Russians are once again demonstrating their operational incompetence. In columns, especially in areas close to the enemy's line of contact, the commander of the logistics unit knows that he has to use dispersed vehicles; it would be practically mandatory to disperse personnel and vehicles as a passive air defense measure.

According to Weeb Union he has sources within the Russian army and they’ve told him. He has sources in the Ukrainian and Russian armies:
Decided to discuss the situation with my Russian source.
Here are the main points.
This is not a Russian trap, the Ukrainians simply did a good offensive. The Russians were clearing mines for their own Sumy offensive and the Ukrainians took advantage of that to launch their own.
The motive of the Ukrainians is also questioned but the general idea is to "strike first", to avoid a collapse on the Ukrainian side they took the fight to the Russian side before they were ready.
Considering Russia was preparing their own offensive they do indeed have soldiers ready. These were stationed far from the front to avoid detection + fpv/artillery strikes.
This means Russia will likely respond very quickly to this Ukrainian offensive and it will not live for much longer.
Russian side is not panicking at all but they are very busy to respond to the current situation.
