Ukraine is increasingly failing to stop Russian missiles, crippling its ability to protect major infrastructure and plunging cities into darkness.

Russian air assaults have struck critical Ukrainian weapons factories and railways used to supply the front. They have also targeted Ukrainian troops on the front line.

Ukraine has made increasingly desperate pleas for more air defenses from its Western allies. But Russia has also changed its tactics, firing larger barrages that overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses and faster missiles that are harder to shoot down.

The article implies that Ukraine was successfully protecting its infrastructure from Russian strikes, but is no longer able to do so, which is just a coping mechanism so US MIC customers don't lose faith in the US gear, and to get approvals to ship more weapons to Ukraine by displaying a cute graphic and charts based on data obtained from Ukrainian reports, of missiles shot down, and drag this conflict for as long as humanly possible.

There hasn't been a single incident throughout this conflict where the Russian MOD wanted some building or target terminated, attempted to do so, and failed. The only reason Ukraine has lights, is because Russia allows it. Ukraine never intercepted a single Iskander or Kinzhal missile thoughout this conflict.

That thing looks pristine, too clean to have been hauled from a war zone.

If the Russians captured a whole TEL they would not give the whole thing to China. At most they might give China a missile or two, which is what really matters anyways.

The only way the Russians would be willing to give China a whole TEL is if they captured a whole battery. But they would be showing some off that at the patriotic park if they had that many.

If the whole capture and transfer was supposed to be kept a secret, you think China couldn’t find a tarp to throw over it when transporting?

Nothing about this story makes sense.

That's a one to one scale model, wiring on the back of a real one looks like this:

I first saw this last night, it was making the rounds on weibo already overnight:

Would be curious to know where it originated first.

A model that detailed would make most sense as a movie prop. Decoys and targets don’t need so much fine detail that won’t show up on sensors at modern combat ranges anyways.

Yeah or something like training AI for target recognition, they are deployed in Taiwan afterall. In fact news of this "gift from Russia" was causing a stir in Taiwan:

Dongdong: it's clearly a model, there's been plenty of high fidelity models of Patriot being built already"
Taiwanese feel a bit better

Dongdong: whatever data we can gain from Russia, it would pale in comparison from the data we can get from across the strait
Taiwanese start to worry again

Just stop already. You got fooled because you wanted it to be true so bad that you didn't bother checking you took a shot and you completely missed. This is what I mean when I say using logic... you actually think the Russians would secretly keep this away from public? are you kidding me? This would be the first thing on displayed in Moscow parade but no lets send it to China instead of keeping it for ourselves as a trophy.
