Another howitzer assumed to be an M777 gets taken out by a Lancet near the Chasiv Yar area.

There seem to be a lot of bulging plates in the outer layer. They are mainly there to deal with CE threats. This layer is fairly similar to the original US Burlington (BRL-1) turret side armor of the original 105 mm M1 Abrams. The original M1 had spacers between the bulge plate layer and the inner walls of the turret structure.

This new setup could be very similar to the upgraded side turret armor that is featured in the M1A2 SEP V2 and M1A1 AIM SA tanks. The turret front will most likely be different, more high density/mass rich to deal with KE threats more effectively.

Nightime strike = Strike against buildings, barracks and hotels when people are sleeping designed to maximize casualties on such. Here it is said that a plant was hit, along with a railway station and a newly filled ammo depot.

One tick, if all these Albram are getting shot up, what on earth was their selling point compared to the challengers and leopards sent. What kind of specs did it have? I ask this question in all seriousness, no joke or fun intended here

Well they're available, have a really powerful engine and good optics? The main thing is tanks aren't exactly duking it out with each other from max range like a game of WoT but instead mostly being used to support infantry at this stage in the war so Abrams is in fact not that different from any other tank. They fall to PGM and FPV just the same, this particularly one was taken out by Krasnopol guided by an Orlan-30 apparently.

So what tank can survive a top attack from a drone with a shape charged warhead with no air superiority? A lot of these tanks get knocked out by mines then gets finished by drone. Tanks are a force when on the offensive with other armored vehicles and air support this is not the war for tanks... at least not yet.
