Are the captions in the video accurate? If true this seems like a bizzare way to motivate troops headed to the frontline.
Scrutinize the nature of the Twitter account posting this and what motivation they might have to either falsify, manipulate, or misconstrue what is posted. This is an era where anything and everything can be fake or altered.

I translated it with machine translation and the subtitles seem to be correct.

However you never know, this could be a decietfully edited video by cutting the beginning of the video. for example he could have been saying something like "nobody lives forever, even if we all die.." or he could have said "whether you are in a hospital dying of old age or you were killed on the battlefield, we will all die, but know one thing, mother Russia will never forget about us" in that case then that was a beautiful speech.
We can only judge it if we see the full video.

I don't see anything wrong with the commander's battle speech. IMHO...It's better to be told the harsh reality of what's to come, than to be comforted by a sweet lie. At the end of the day, most, if not all of those soldiers know that they're going to an LZ/CZ that's going to be hell on earth. Plus, culturally speaking, I don't think Russians are at all similar in western sentimentality.

I feel terrible to all the soldiers on both countries who are simply doing their duties; fulfilling what's expected of them by their country and country people. What they expect of themselves and the inevitability of finality brought upon by this needless but inevitable god forsaken war.

The Ukrainian sources often claim that the Russians use Storm-Z (with a lot of convict recruits) to do the most dangerous tasks in Ukraine. After the task is completed, the second wave come in, composed of regulars to consolidate.

You don't see anything wrong with the speech? Then why even fight knowing you're going to die over a pointless war for land. If these were Ukrainian soldiers you sorta understand since you're fighting for the sovereignty/existence of your nation and for your family and people.

I'd just like to point out that both sides use essentially the same language and the same equipment. How hard do you think would it be, for the Ukrainians to gather 20 soldiers, have them stand in line listening to a "Russian officer" spouting demotivating bullshit, then release it on Russian internet to try and rile people up?

Some days ago Ukrainian parliament broadened the acceptable standards for recruitment in pretty eyebrow raising ways:

GMzB606WUAAbLtJ.jpgGMzB61mXsAAjFz0.jpg

Basically the following are suitable for miliary service:
  • Men with mild mental symptoms and mental retardation
  • Tuberculosis. Clinically cured.
  • HIV is an exception only for those whose virus progresses.
  • Cancer in remission means a person is fully fit. Those that are inoperable and have metastases are not suitable.
  • Pregnant and postpartum women are considered fit for service if the pregnancy and postpartum period passed without complications.

Since Ukraine is losing, all their own deaths and catastrophic losses (economy, population, terrain, etc) will be worthless- they die for a vastly diminished future as their young people continue to flee a war that could have ended a long time ago.

Russia is winning- fighting for the multipolar world (accelerating the decline of the West), a new Russia (expanded in territory & population with economy & politics shifting to the global south and the east) ,the demilitarization of Ukraine/NATO, and the preservation of the current regime in power.

The average infantryman is always downtrodden everywhere.
