I'm surprised every time I look at updates of the war in Ukraine.
Not long ago it used to take weeks for any meaningful movement on the frontline, and now Russia is steadily taking over towns and fortifications all over the frontline with progress measured in days.

Yes, but it's hard to take anything from any MSM source seriously. RUSI and Russian Contigency are far more credible. Obviously nobody is above reproach. Everyon ehas bias and knowledge gaps (where they start making shit up).
Ukraine need manpower to keep the frontline if not they just open gaps letting Russian forces in. Russian forces are still going in gaps cautiously, when they start running or being optimistic they are still hammered badly.
It's not a collapse yet and it doesn't look like a Kharkiv run like the Ukrainian have done when Russia was lacking man on the front. Summer will be interesting to follow.
from a mere military pow, chances in 2014 would have been a LOT better, since there was no modern Ukrainian army back then.
the economist might wake me up, when the countless daily Ukrainian drone videos stop. The highly superior EW suites unable to jam any home depot drones.

Another Ukrainian transport is spotted and hit by FPV drone using night vision.

Another fake video from the Ukrainian ministry of propaganda trying to claim credit for something they haven't done. The footage was filmed much earlier than the Tu-22 crash, which to be reminded too place in excess of 430km from the frontline.
New batch of T-80BVM comes delivered with new jamming gear. Note cope roofs are now installed on the factory instead of the field.

Ukraine's drones hit eight Russia regions tonight, the largest strike with dozens of drones. Several power plants and oil depots have been hit. Here: a Lukoil and a Neftika oil depots in Kardymovo, Smolensk region...

These guys never learn. Ukraine already lost several hydropower plants and thermal power plants. So far the Russians have avoided striking the nuclear power plants in Ukraine. But they shouldn't count on the Russians continuing this practice. The Russians could strike the electric switching yards outside the nuclear power plants, or even the turbine building in the nuclear power plants. Their weapons are accurate enough to hit the turbine building while avoiding the reactor itself.

Noting the video should be incorrect that he died fighting otherwise the Vostok Battalion won't swear revenge.

The AFU 68th Brigade refuses to carry out orders in the vicinity of Semenovka. Significant losses leading to mass disobedience. We have been seeing a list of Ukrainian brigades actively disobeying orders including but not exclusive to the 115th, the 67th, the 25th, and the 3rd. We have also seen the 53rd and the 110rd gave up during the battle of Avdiivka. But I won't blame them under their circumstances when FABs and 152mms are raining on your heads daily.
Shoigu shown small arms to fight drones. We have seen shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns and assault rifles taking down drones the old fashioned way. Also new bomb dropping drone similar to a Baba Yaga. Such large drones can also be used to drop supplies to friendly forces.

Most unfortunate. A Ukrainian policeman was murdered by two AFU soldiers of the 28th Brigade when he requested an inspection of their belongings.

Added: this might be the cause. Fuel tanks from an agricultural enterprise near Odessa was hit. It might have been used as a fuel and lubricants depot.
