Friendly fire? It kind of looks like the aircraft was hit in the rear, but maybe that was just an engine fire / explosion that brought it down?

Does the Tu-22M3 have crew escape systems?

Presumably engine fire or another malfunction. Which happens with decades old Cold War era aircraft.

Some adjustments on previous posts. On the Iskander-M with cluster munitions attack on Aviatorske airfield, there appears to be seven not three MiG-29s on the field of effect. On top of that are four AN-26 transports, which may no longer be functional for a while.

The cluster warhead is similar to an attack on a temporary airfield used by Ukrainian helicopters as a stepping point earlier this year. The attack caught several helicopters on the ground.

The airfield from satellite image.

There's an S-300 system near and protecting the airfield and it got dispatched by an Iskander-M with an HE warhead.

Hours later, we have a massed missile strike on Dnipropetrovsk taking out the train station among other things.

And another at Krivoy Rog. Infrastructure facility?

With regards to the strike on the Chernigov hotel, there appears to be some interesting info on this video. As previously posted, the appearance of bunk beds point to the hotel being used by a military unit.

One of the photos from Ukrainian media brushed off the appearance of a person in the picture. Got something or someone to hide? VIP? Mercenaries? The big suspect is French. The other is NATO personnel.

Rare footage of the combat work of the Russian air defense system "Pantsir-S1" in the Belgorod region of Russia. The video shows the interception of Ukrainian RM-70 Vampire MLRS missiles. As can be seen in the video, the combat work is quite effective and outwardly resembles the work of the Israeli Iron Dome air defense system. Reportedly, 25 shells of the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system and three unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian army were intercepted.

Where did you hear this? The main negative I've heard is just the unit cost is prohibitive.

Since early last year. Western media has been complaining about Russian EW turning their smart munitions into useless duds.

Fast forward one year to March 2023 and the Excaliburs suddenly started missing their targets. Russian electronic jamming, which overloads a receiver with noise or false information, was blocking the artillery shells’ GPS, causing the ammunition to miss its mark.
