According to some sources, French military units, including the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment, would be on their way to Romania (NATO) from where they will enter Ukraine, with the expectation of positioning themselves in Odessa. There are no details about the mission they will perform in this Ukrainian city, but as they are infantry regiments, it is believed that it will be a simple territorial defense, that is, facing Russia if Putin manages to break the Ukrainian lines in the Kherson region. It is worth remembering that there is already a suspicion of an attempt to cross the Dnieper River by Russian forces.
I suspect that these "Russian separatists" are as Russian and as separatist as I am...basically not at all. Then again, I could also be wrong. Lots of those 5th column guys seem to have no clue what the US and its puppets did in Ukraine starting in 2014. For them it seems 14K dead Ukrainians only seem to matter if these Ukrainians support the "right side".

What's going on with the French? Has a Goa'uld symbiote taken over Macron? (little SG-1 reference for us SG1 nerds) Joking aside the French military alone is in no position, even if the battlefield is Ukraine, to take on Russia conventionally.

If French troops are already in Western Ukraine to relieve the AFU troops so they can be sent eastwards, then in the event of a collapse of the war effort who would be best positioned to peacekeep the resulting non-Russian half of Ukraine?
And to think the French were wanting to sell Mistrals to Russia just about a decade ago.

They dont need LHD, go maintain existing ships. Otherwise make one themselves. If have to import, buy Chinese who are more reliable, cheaper, experienced for soviet systems. Failing all that, buy friggin Korean not overpriced French junk who are their enemies since 2014.
