Ghost of Kyiv still lives in hearts.
Well, everyone is free to believe claims of all things.... or Russian sources were lying about losses!![]()
Sea of Azov would be close to the operational limit of Patriot even if Patriot would be placed directly in the front line. So, let me doubt.More Russian Flankers shot down. It seems A patriot launcher is roaming again
With big numbers of Western artillery that Ukraine has got, I don't think that it's some problem to continue to shell Donets from 30 or 35 km away...If you check the map Adevka is only 10 kms of Donetsk city.
From there Ukraine has shelled Doneskt since 2014 because is within artillery range.
Now the closed city to Doneskt in Ukrainian hands will be Krsnigorivka that is already 20km and it does not seem so difficult to take as Avdeevka.
So Russia is close to put an end to the bombing that Donetsk suffered all this years. Now they still can suffer attacks with HIMARS or Storm Shadow but will by default smaller in numbers since this are more expensive and scarce systems.
Other reason for fighting in small cities is that small cities come before than big cities. There is no way to take Kramatorsk without taking Avdeevka
The Western lead Ukrainian counteroffensive was huge mistake.AFU soldiers leaving Avdeyevka. There were reports the Ukrainians started leaving before the formal order tho do so was issued. The retreating soldiers were being tracked by Russian drones, which will likely lead to some artillery and mortar fire.
Mortar direct hit on an attempted rotation by the AFU. The AFU vehicle still managed to escape but there could be casualties or wounded.
The commentary said tank but it looked more like a couple of APCs or IFVs to me. A Lancet strikes the first vehicle with devastating effect, the results of which damages the second vehicle while the first burns. By some miracle, crewmen or at least some of them, managed to survive and run away. This takes place at night, with the Lancet and observing UAV using night vision.
FPV drone takes out an AFU vehicle at night, in the Chasiv Yar direction, by the 98th VDV.
Su-34 starts the day with glide FAB drops over the Kupyansk front.
Orekhiv sector has heated up and the town of Orekhiv has been ordered to evacuate, a good indication that the Ukrainians are expecting a major Russian offensive in the region. In the meantime, in this sector, an M113 had an FPV drone flew directly right into it's open hatch as it was traveling. By the Beaver detachment.
Drone operators of the 143rd Regiment of the 127th Division drops bombs down on an AFU Zil supply truck in the Priyutne sector, which has also heated up.
Five places the Russians plans to break through according to the New York Times.
"Now — is the most dangerous situation since the beginning of the war, Russia comes at once on 5 directions, -
It is about Avdeyevskoye, Mariinsky, Robotinskoye, Kremenskoye and Bakhmuth directions.
The Russian Federation has accumulated up to 40,000 troops in the Mariupol area and about 110,000 in the Kupyansk and Limana areas.
Russia seeks to return the territories occupied by VSU during the counter-offensive in 2022 and 2023.
Ukraine lacks ammunition without US military assistance on ~1000 km of front line."
Russians managed to land a British Banshee jet drone. The UK plans to transfer 200 of them. On this example the 7kg warhead has been neutralized.
A Bradley tries to finish off an abandoned Leopard 2A6 and another Bradley in Avdeyevka region.
Loaded Ukrainian BMP trying to retreat from Avdeyevka falls victim to a Lancet attack.
Additional footage on the bombing of the coke plant prior to surrender. Plus the view of it from the inside. Can't blame them if they gave it up.
Avdeyevka hidden residents found and evacuated by Russian forces.
I don't who planned this offensive, I read somewhere that Boris Johnson was somehow involved so that may explain a lot, the problem is that Ukraine is not in position to launch any offensive attack at all, that only will deplete their resources and manpower, they could be in position of defending what they still have, they should be focusing in strengthening their defenses, begging for more weapons and training more civilians so in the case the Russians decide to take what it left of that country at least they have a chance of slowing them down.
It will continue to be possible. The Ukrainians use the Slovak RM-70 Vampire MLRS to shell Belgorod for example. With big numbers of Western artillery that Ukraine has got, I don't think that it's some problem to continue to shell Donets from 30 or 35 km away...
These guys just drank too much of the US koolaid. They thought the Russian Army would be like the Donbass militias they were used to fighting with. The Western lead Ukrainian counteroffensive was huge mistake.
Like I said before going to the offensive against a bigger power will deplete the Ukrainian military and no amount of Western high tech expensive weapons will help with that. That territory is lost and the best they can do is to reinforce to protect what they already have.
