The War in the Ukraine

Regarding the Chinese origin 152mm ammo again:

Someone pointed out another interesting aspect of this picture. Recall previous discussion in this thread about possible Pakistani 122mm ammo following Chinese spec bursting Ukrainian 122mm guns:

The charge for this 152mm round is dated 2018, visibly newer and lacking any Chinese writing and is unlikely to be the original that came with the shell. This charge could be a domestic Iranian production and safe for Soviet spec guns. Iran may have helpfully packaged this new charge with old Chinese shell to make it safe for Russian use in the Soviet origin D-20.
The character “” is highly possibly not Chinese. It might be Korean I guess. I searched for the character in Chinese and was referred to "爆" (explosion), this might be the meaning of the character.

The second round of Chinese character simplification, according to the official document, Second Chinese Character Simplification Scheme (Draft) ("Second Scheme" or "Second Round" for short) to introduce a second round of simplified Chinese characters, was an aborted orthography reform promulgated on 20 December 1977 by the

The second round of simplification was officially rescinded on 24 June 1986 by the

A lot of other critical events have now occurred after the mutiny:

Besides the new reserve army and other new forces operational, (1)

2. nuclear weapons transferred to Belarus, to join the Iskander-M self-propelled Ballistic missiles.

3. A portion of Wagner will join Prizoghin and the Belarus leader. The rest of Wagner's fate is currently unknown but the reasonable course of action is to de-centralize the PMC army and split it up rather than have it together as one powerful group. Overall unless the parts are greater than the sum of the whole this is a net benefit to Ukraine as they don't have to struggle against a united PMC front anymore.

4. Russian National Guard Chief all of sudden announced that they will receive tanks and other heavy weapons, meaning that internal security will be tightened up but also a possibility that they will be deployed in urban combat like the Chechen Guard forces.

It's surprising that Lukashenko is comfortable with Prigozhin taking up residence along with a few thousand of his most loyal followers given what just happened. I don't buy all the memes that Wagner will be attacking Kiev from the North after the settle in, that border is fortified and heavily mined after 2022.

Perhaps aside from Africa business new Wagner will be providing security against partisan groups like Belarus version of Freedom of Russia Legion.

So, looks like Russia needs same boost for artirelly.

Curious about the deepness of the Chinese 152 mm stock.
Is that Chinese charatecter real??? What is that second word?

Looks like fake "Chinese character". Normal Chinese shell would be painted 152mm or 152 毫米。

Edit:Yes, it is another "alternate character 异体字“ for 爆.

The Russians are transferring the heavy equipment back to the regular army. Few thousand light infantry in foreign territories is suicidal against Belarus + Russia. Lukashenko may not be as “courteous” in giving another chance as Putin did if they decide to do something funny again.

what is the effect of losing a few thousand light infantry on the frontlines i.e Wagner? Not all of the remaining 17,000 ish that are left will be willing to sign contracts with the regular army and mercenaries have the advantage that they can be sent to plug any gaps flexibly, rather than dragging whole brigades/btgs around.

From what I heard in this video below:

Wagner troops are being used as trainers for soldiers in the main army given their relatively high performance on the battlefield. We might also replications of Wagner-style detachment unit structures within the main army itself. In short and if the above is true, there may be an increase in quality of the Russian army’s overall combat power. In addition, this will relieve the issue of having very little amount of professionals to train the mobilized personal.

Seems like a questionable move to get people who were almost part of a mutiny to train your army... I thought remaining wagner would be used like expendable shock troops.

On a side note, an Australian cardboard drone was brought down in Russia. I'm surprised they are still around considering last time we heard about them were like 6+ months ago.
