No footage and reportage from the Ukrainians reveal a few things.

Their drones are getting jammed and shot down. Most footage of consequence are drone based. Russians have drone dominance.

There are no good news to show.

Or they just don#t want to show anything that can be used to geolocate the different areas of action …. In fact i find it funny how much over-interpretation or imagination some of you show when interpreting certain or the lack of imagery.

The Russians are already showing geolocated footage of the Ukrainians.

Come on … but surely not from those locations where the Ukrainians are advancing.

My point is simply, that - like in a few other forums already happening - based the lack of imagery and report about advances and success as well as a destroyed IRIS-T radar and the Leo 2 to conclude the whole Ukrainian counteroffensive is a failure, Western systems are overhyped crap and so on is misleading at best.

Based on my understanding, the Ukrainians have a very strict no-news policy concerning the important locations and we all need to wait for more information.

Just need to wait maybe 2-3 more days. Let's see how far Ukraine could advance. I agree with Deino tho that just because Leopard 2 and Iris-T got plucked in the early days of the assault, that doesnt mean Ukraine have run out of steam.

In fact there could still be plenty of steam left, and Russian lines aren't impenetrable. The Russians tho just need to bleed the Ukrainians as much as they could, means there probably more strikes on potential Locations of Ukrainian caches and decision making center. Ukrainians also did the same thing.

The Nova Kakhova dam destruction and overall silence policy of the Ukrainians as well as their incursions in Belgorod pretty much give them the necessary diversion from their losses and effort. Should they make gain they consider significant however, there will be photo-ops etc.

Westerners are in for an unexpected and sour surprise when they see Leopard 2s just as easily tossing their turrets into the air as T series tanks.

The only western MBT that has a high degree of crew survivability and repairability post ammo explosion, is the Abrams.
It won't be long before this will happen.

Around a brigade lost with some 3 or 4 potato fields gained?
Yes, for the moment is a catastrophe

There is still a long period of warm weather left no? I personally think the Ukrainians can definitely sustain an offensive longer than 3 days from this point, maybe not across the entire front but its still too early to say which side has the last laugh on this offensive.

If the Russian strategy is still banking on attrition, they should not let this offensive run out of steam too fast.
