Not sure if posted before but interesting none-the-less (IMHO):

How is American Democracy remotely connected to the conflict in Ukraine? Are Americans these deranged regardless of their political party affiliation? They think that the world revolves around their country? And probably assume that the world couldn't live without the U.S. hegemonic existence.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree simplifying a procedure for applying for Russian citizenship for residents of two Ukrainian regions

MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Residents of the Kherson region have been waiting for the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship, the first applications have already been submitted to the regional administration, head of the region's civil-military administration Vladimir Saldo said on Wednesday during a Channel One TV broadcast.
"Many residents of our region have been waiting for this opportunity, they asked questions, applications are already being submitted to the civil-military administration," he said.
On May 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree simplifying a procedure for applying for Russian citizenship for residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine. Consideration of applications for Russian citizenship for such persons and the adoption of relevant decisions should be carried out within a period not exceeding three months from the date of application and submission of documents.

MP reveals multitude of residents from Ukraine’s liberated south want Russian citizenship

"A mechanism as part of the federal law will need to be worked out," Viktor Vodolatsky said, adding that he saw no major obstacles to granting Russian citizenship to people in those regions

LUGANSK, May 25. /TASS/. Some 70% of residents of the liberated regions in Ukraine’s south want to receive Russian passports, a member of the Russian lower house of parliament told TASS on Wednesday.
People in Melitopol, Kherson, Berdyansk, and Rozovka, which wants to exit from the Zaporozhye Region and become part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, have been expressing their desire to obtain Russian passports, said Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Issues of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Contacts with Fellow Countrymen.
The passport issuance procedure in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics has been going smoothly, though security checks will need to be conducted to launch the process in the liberated territories, which can take up to three months, Vodolatsky noted.
"A mechanism as part of the federal law will need to be worked out," the MP said, adding that he saw no major obstacles to granting Russian citizenship to people in those regions.

So, that seems to be the plan. The controlled areas in Kherson and Zaporozhye won't go back to Ukraine but be folded into the DPR. They will also give everyone who wants a Russian passport.
