the concern now is the big boys like D-18T which isnt made anywhere else. AN-124 fleet might have problem. Also Turkey may need to find another source/substitute for Al-25 engine for their Mius program.

Assuming huitong’s blog post about the testing of an indigenous engine for the JL-10 back in 2016 is true, it might finally convince China to speed up the progress.
The urgency to fill up that niche could boost the PD-35's development, which the russians were planning to use to re-engine their An-124's.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree simplifying a procedure for applying for Russian citizenship for residents of two Ukrainian regionsMOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Residents of the Kherson region have been waiting for the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship, the first applications have already been submitted to the regional administration, head of the region's civil-military administration Vladimir Saldo said on Wednesday during a Channel One TV broadcast.
"Many residents of our region have been waiting for this opportunity, they asked questions, applications are already being submitted to the civil-military administration," he said.
On May 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree simplifying a procedure for applying for Russian citizenship for residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine. Consideration of applications for Russian citizenship for such persons and the adoption of relevant decisions should be carried out within a period not exceeding three months from the date of application and submission of documents.

People in Melitopol, Kherson, Berdyansk, and Rozovka, which wants to exit from the Zaporozhye Region and become part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, have been expressing their desire to obtain Russian passports, said Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Issues of the Commonwealth of Independent States and Contacts with Fellow Countrymen.
The passport issuance procedure in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics has been going smoothly, though security checks will need to be conducted to launch the process in the liberated territories, which can take up to three months, Vodolatsky noted.

So, that seems to be the plan. The controlled areas in Kherson and Zaporozhye won't go back to Ukraine but be folded into the DPR. They will also give everyone who wants a Russian passport.
