So they will be identified as mercenaries ? voluntaries ? or they will get Cracker Jack Urkaine citizenships ???

200 000 is a big number to not being identified as full NATO intervention...itching for nuke lobing. Would have kept the MBT and IFV given if they were planing to go in... Poles will be going on foot to get fragged Ukrainian style ?
I would guess that the 200 000 are not going to directly participate since they're conscripts, instead they will fulfil regular jobs the polish army does while a large number of "volunteers" among the regulars go to Ukraine.

Making conscripts go fight Russia is far far too politically risky. On the other hand if they use conscripts to lighten the burden on the regulars, they can gather volunteers who have a vested interest in keeping themselves low profile.

Is there any concrete proof that there are thousands of Polish mercenaries actually operating in Ukraine? I don't doubt the international Legion comes from all flavours of Western SOC, state sponsored or otherwise. but my impression of the conflict is that other than equipment and ISR Ukraine really has no need for additional manpower from the West and that the international Legion is mostly there for PR.

There are several foreign operators in Ukraine and assuming they are all part of the International Legions is a major mistake.
People from the former USSR always carry their papers with them. My guess is they are assuming people without papers are mercenaries.

They are so used to keeping their identification some people in Ukraine even keep their Soviet military IDs with them. Not that the Ukrainian SBU Secret Service are fans of that mind you.

I understand that there are foreign operators outside of foreign Legion, what I'm contesting is that people in this thread suggesting that there are thousands of Polish mercenaries involved in Ukraine that is fully backed by Polish government.

On a side note, Russia already see this as a conflict between them and NATO, I don't see the point of harping on about foreign mercenaries when the equipment sent in by NATO has a much bigger effect on the conflict then a few squad of special forces.

The Kiev regime in the new year will begin the evacuation of the population from the occupied territories of the Donetsk Republic

The evacuation will take place from January. Residents will be sent to the Ternopil and Cherkasy regions.

Kyiv is preparing to surrender the Donbass or the Armed Forces of Ukraine are retreating to a new line of defense?!

An interesting message was published by the Kramatorsk city council: on January 2, the evacuation of the population of all territories of the DPR occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to various Ukrainian regions will begin.

There are several options:
1️⃣the simplest - the Kyiv regime has no money to provide for the residents of Donbass
2️⃣The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to withdraw to a new line of defense, which will actually pass along the borders of the DPR (Krasny Lyman - Slavyansk - Kraamatorsk - Chasov Yar - Konstantinovka)
3️⃣we are talking about the implementation of the notorious "Sullivan formula" - the agreement between Patrushev and an American official to resolve the conflict in Ukraine (hard to believe)

Or they just cannot continue at this rate of loss... Did they prepare some kind of fortified positions farther north along the DPR border ??? It need to be concerted with Russia if they want this to work without good fortified positions.

equipments can be replaced. Ukrainians and pretend Ukrainians not so much,
I think that is the plan.

A month ago it was widely reported in the Polish media that 1,200+ Poles had been killed in the Ukraine war.

If that many have died you can imagine how many are deployed there.

What are you people even talking about? 200k number is for 2023 - 30 days exercices, mostly some basic training without even shooting ~ 95% are people who are somehow connected to the military before and ex-military. Every year Poland has that kind of exercices, this is the the same number as in 2021 and 2022.

Only english source I could find on this topic is from Russia, do you have any other source stating that 1200+ Poles have been killed? Also are they fully polish or Ukranians with Polish citizenship?
