Ukraine run by ‘f****d up people’ – US instructor

A video shows the founder of Mozart Group, Andrew Milburn, admitting Kiev’s forces have committed “atrocities”

Ukraine should not be placed on a pedestal in the West’s attempts to support the country in its conflict with Russia. That's according to Andrew Milburn, founder of the ‘Mozart Group’, which has been providing training for Kiev’s forces.

The retired Marine commander shared his experience and conclusions from working in Ukraine during an appearance on the Team House

last month. Attention to the video, which had only amassed some 20,000 views since it was posted, was drawn by Grayzone editor Max Blumenthal on Monday.
During the podcast, Milburn stated that Ukraine is a “corrupt, f****d-up society.” While he stressed that continued Western support for the country was important and justified by the need to uphold “global norms,” he suggested that the whole point was “not about Ukraine.”

“I have a Ukrainian flag tied to my bag, but I’m not like ‘oh my God, Ukraine is so awesome,’ because I understand that there are plenty of f****d up people running Ukraine,”
Milburn said, admitting that he’s really “not a big fan” of the country.

He also stated that “a number of things” that Kiev’s forces do with Russian POWs violate the Hague convention on the laws of armed conflict, especially when it comes to filming interrogations of captured Russian soldiers and posting them online.

Milburn noted that the trainers from Mozart Group don’t condone such acts and have always tried to distance themselves from any unit that showed them videos of killing Russian POWs. “We’ve been shown those videos plenty of times,” he said, adding that “there were plenty” of atrocities being committed by Ukrainian forces and “all kinds of atrocities to go around.”

He did stress, however, that most of the groups his trainers have dealt with were “very professional” and did not resort to such acts.

While Milburn’s Mozart Group claims charity status, it is considered to be among the largest private military companies currently working in Ukraine and has been providing military training to Ukrainian soldiers since the early days of the conflict. However, it has also been the source of several damning reports on the dark underbelly of Kiev’s armed forces.

Back in August, Milburn was quoted by CBS news in a since-deleted

that revealed how Western-supplied weapons were disappearing in Ukraine and popping up on the black market. Recently, he was also quoted by Newsweek in a report revealing that the Ukrainian military was seeing casualty rates of 70% or more, contrary to official Kiev’s claims.

Ukrainian M113 hit by an RPG, then surviving paratroopers ran to hide in the forest, where they are subsequently bombarded.

"In the uploaded narrative, it is written that this is the action of the Russian Army in ambushing the Ukrainian paratroopers. First, there is the first hit of a Russian RPG or Grenade Launcher on the Ukrainian M113. The armored vehicle then stopped. The Kyiv Troop convoy in the armored vehicle got out and ran into the forest. During the escape however, the Russian Army continued to launch barrages of attacks and eliminate the remaining Ukrainian paratroopers. Unfortunately, the number of victims was not explained, but Russian drones recorded that the Kyiv Troops were lying not far from the target vehicle."

"TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM - Federation Missile and Artillery Forces neutralize 1 reserve command post of the Ukrainian armed forces 80th Airborne Assault Brigade near Kramatorsk (Donetsk People's Republic). As well as 67 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 89 areas under attack. One US-made M-777 artillery system was detected and destroyed near Netaylovo along with its crew. This unit recently shelled a densely populated residential area in Donetsk. Another M-777 artillery system was destroyed near Preobrazhenka (Zaporozhye region), Konashenkov said. Russian Federation air defense facilities shot down 3 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Olginka, Guselskoye (Donetsk People's Republic) and Peremozhnoye (Zaporozhye region). In addition, 2 MLRS Uragan were intercepted near Kostogryzovo (Kherson region), and 3 US-made anti-radiation missiles near Debaltsevo (Donetsk People's Republic)."

In a war of survival, against their super-sized neighbor, almost a year-long war, and relative to the available number of military-age men. Yes, peanuts. NATO doesnt care about percentages, it just wants to fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian

That's not important. What's most important IMO is how big is the pool Ukraine can draw from to replenish their losses without collapsing. From what I am seeing, the number is easily 5+ million if Western funding continues.

Irrelevant. That's probably the same thing Putin was thinking and he triggered the war. I would suggest not repeating past mistakes.

People don't want to be there you say. Maybe its true, maybe its not. In reality though, Ukraine now has 25 million inside. Any immigrant to the West is mostly women, children and elderly, leaving the males to stay in Ukraine

Is Russia inflicting 400k casualties per month? If not then the reserves are ok, they can be trained and then sent to the frontline where they will have a baptism of fire (yeah, many casualties).

As for infrastructure, that's why Ukraine can't sent all of its military-age men to the army. I would say with Western funding, they can probably draw a max 40%. That's 5+ million men.

No. What they see, hear, and being told, and from social pressure, is that they fight for the survival of their country, families, children, women, elderly. You know, the usual propaganda

That they actually fight for the US we of course know about it. For them though, they think that they fight for their country lol. Just a matter of perspective

Not that dramatic stuff, but if (I don't have good memory) you were here when this clown war and the thread started, I said something similar of how to conduct the war from day 1 when the war started. So don't complain to me, you and I know to who to point the finger to blame for this.

That they don't do this now is probably because the West would utilise its soft power outrage machine to drown Russia diplomatically

Same as above reason. PR and optics
Going by wwii 40% is nuts. 10% is alreay late war germany level. Going by that measure they have bit over a million. If 400k is true Ukraine can survive another year. After that it should start crumble. I give it 1.5 year to win for Russia if current strategy continue.

UK had mobilised 22% of its total population during WW2.

With free Western funding and reduced number of women and children in its local population, Ukraine could go for a higher mobilisation rate

It is a bit tricky, mobilisation was extended for childless women to do industrial/other works on UK soil, additionaly lot of conscripted was sent to the mines and other industries.

So the number of mobilisation not equal with the military strenth, it means simply the sum of all workers and soldier directed to the war and related industries.

A turkish news site reports that among the agreements Zelensky got during his visit in Washington was one with Poland where the latter would get involved more directly in the war

Apparently Wagner pulling out of Opytne was a trap, after the Ukranians settled in, Wagner launched an attack and inflicted losses on the Ukranians

What's left of a Krab

Turns out Ukraine can't really maintain and use most of the captured Russian equipment, in a shock to absolutely no one who doesn't drink NAFO Kool-aid

Cites an example of BMP-3 which has been sitting in depot in Kharkiv after the engine and fuel pump failed and there is no system to find out if another unit has a similar vehicle that could be used to source spare parts. Also, units would rather hoard "trophies" rather than share them to put operational vehicles together.

Another example is of a guy from an armored unit which has switched tanks 7 times already due to maintenance issues. Dude is part of one of the units that entered Izyum and turns out the majority of the captured equipment in the area was inoperative, with the amount of tanks that could turn on with minimal work "you could count on one hand"

According to the guy "Those that needed some repair but would eventually run was another 30 percent probably. And the last 50 percent was junk that requires a whole lot of work.”

(I remember several members having an orgasm over the pictures and arguing against other members who pointed out that they most likely were unserviceable)

As for western equipment, all of it needs to be sent back to Poland for maintenance, putting out of combat for weeks. Also a lot of equipment isnt new and come from depots.

Work is also delayed due to the power outages as the provided generators can't put out enough power to operate all the tools required to repair a tank.

Russians exploit hasty pre announcements of city and town captures to lay traps on Ukrainians. This is what happened to the "capture" of Kremennaya. As detailed by @milchronicle.

Armed Forces of Ukraine hurried to report to Zelensky about the capture of Kremennaya. It cost Kiev 1,000 soldiers and officers

At the end of December, Ukrainian Telegram channels spread information that the Russian Armed Forces were retreating from Svatov, and Kremennaya (60 km from Slavyansk) was practically cut off and it was a matter of time to block it.

The commander of the Russian Legion detachment, Sergei Fomchenkov (call sign Fomich), told the Military Chronicle that, according to his data obtained as a result of radio interception, President Vladimir Zelensky had already been informed about the capture of Kremennaya. This, according to Fomich, was due to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had accumulated excess forces in the area of the Kremennaya-Svatovo line and no longer doubted success.

Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hurried to report the capture of the city and therefore sent new reserves there in the hope of capturing the settlement and "implementing the report."

All attacks by units of the 14th and 92nd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the 112th territorial defense brigade were repulsed.

The 80th and 95th air assault brigades suffered heavy losses during the "probing" between Kremennaya and Svatov. A large number of killed and wounded during the attack on Kremennaya was also recorded in the 25th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and units of the 66th mechanized brigade.

Since autumn, the active movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been hampered by bad weather, targeted positions and the constant activity of reconnaissance drones. Columns with Ukrainian equipment are found at a distance of 10-12 km, after which fire is opened on them.

According to the Military Chronicle, the number of soldiers killed and seriously wounded in the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Svatovo-Kremennaya area, after reports of a shift in the front line and the capture of Kremennaya, came close to 1 thousand.

According to another source of the Military Chronicle in the Russian Legion detachment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine on in this area faced with a shortage of heavy equipment and almost all combat exits are carried out on lightly armored vehicles MaxxPro, Cougar and Sisu Pasi. Vehicles receive critical damage from artillery and are destroyed along with the landing force.

Twitter war... anyway all this town on the frontline don't exist anymore... rubbles on top of rubbles. Taking and named area is less important than having good firing position, higher grounds and defendable choke points for the Russians.

For the Ukrainians, city are quite important for propaganda purpose. While it's not pretty for Russia to lose some, they can still be retaken again. It's way more important to not lose troops for these ruins. It's the endgame that is more important.

If Ukraine would go to Belgorov or Kursk it would be the inverse situation... with Russian defending like madmans and Ukraine searching for a good place to grind them.
