Peoples (and place) might be different, but do you think times are?
When was the Middle East at peace?
Do you think that after Assad is gone, everyone will just join hands and sing?
Different groups have their own agendas, no one is on the same page
Armenians and Kurds will trust the allies of the Turks? Must be kidding!
Different times meaning they have learned from mistakes. And a lot of mistakes were made the last 14 years.

At the rate of this collapse, nobody can truly help Syria. Russia, Iran, and Syria have been made as utter fools in trusting the West and Turkey so easily. Russia continues to make deals with Erdogan even when Turkish weaponry continues to kill Russians in Ukraine. In 2022, Russia moved the S-300 that Syria bought and paid for to Crimea as goodwill to Israel. The Iranian president still wants to grovel to the West to loosen their grip on sanctions. Assad transitions to a civilian economy and sat on his outdated military, refusing to talk to Erdogan, but also ignored the Erdogan's Jihadist force buildup in Idlib for months. All of them are at fault.
You are missing one key point. I.e Assad doesnt have the full support of his own people or even his own military. He regime was just ruling by fear and terror just like Saddam. Such regime usually crumbles easily when faced with tough internal unrest once the people finally feel they can challenge and topplethe regime. It was same with Mubarak in Egypt, Ben Ali in Tunisia or eben the Shah in Iran etc etc. The Ayatollahs shiuld be careful as well, since there is growing discontent against them in Iran itself we have seen several protest in the past there which they were able to brutally suppress. Not sure they will be able to do so forever. They need to find a long term solution for such issues.

Yes, but as you know TAI was bombed by PKK just weeks ago, not 14 years.
This is Turkish media already:

I'm speaking about the opposition, not PKK/SDF/YPG which pretends to be opposition but is basically in cahoots with the regime. When the regime is gone the Turks and the opposition will work together to end the PKK in Syria.
