I guess expressing support for terrorist organizations is no longer prohibited in this forum?
HTS is recognized as a terrorist organization by practicaly everyone in the east and the west including the UN. this is not a case of "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" yet after reporting sequ's post #180 in which he describes HTS taking control of Aleppo as "liberation" no action has been taken.

I read the forum rules and posting pro terror propaganda was supposed to be prohibited, but now I guess there has been a change in forum rules so now people can express support even for ISIS if they want to.

it is one thing to say "I oppose both sides in Syria because they are all bad" but it is completely different when you actively take the side of the terrorists. describing the takeover of a city by HTS as "liberation" is like saying that Palmyra was "liberated" back when ISIS took control of it.

Hizbolla: We stand with the regime!
Muqtada al-sadr: What happens in Syria is not our business!

Iran is losing its grip on its proxies.

Assad was only holding on thanks to his patrons Russia and Iran aided by Iranian shia militias all around the region plus Hezbollah..without this foreign players he would long have been toppled after the syrian uprisings and revolution started.
Hopefully he realises he cant keep ruling syria as it is and leaves power. Let an interim government take over and general elections be organised. Iran and Russia will have to accept this reality if it does happens. Afterall, a regime cant keep surviving if most of the people(even governments own troops/soldiers) dont find it worth dying for, shows that they dont like or trust the regime itself that much.
At the moment, there are no true alternatives to Assad. And even if there was, Russia and Iran are not in the business of regime change, especially on their own allies. The sheer incompetence of Assad and the SAA deserves severe condemnation, but looking at the bigger picture, abandoning Syria and Assad to their fate will bring worse outcomes for Russia and Iran.

"The regime in Syria is currently being changed in a controlled, organized and gradual manner."

This is indeed the way it should be done. By carrot and stick.

Al Rastan is free from regime elements. They've abandoned it. The opposition can just walk in. Locals in Talbiseh have formed armed groups against the regime.

Hama was supposed to be the last fortress of the SAA in the north, and now they are abandoning it.

At the rate of this collapse, nobody can truly help Syria. Russia, Iran, and Syria have been made as utter fools in trusting the West and Turkey so easily. Russia continues to make deals with Erdogan even when Turkish weaponry continues to kill Russians in Ukraine. In 2022, Russia moved the S-300 that Syria bought and paid for to Crimea as goodwill to Israel. The Iranian president still wants to grovel to the West to loosen their grip on sanctions. Assad transitions to a civilian economy and sat on his outdated military, refusing to talk to Erdogan, but also ignored the Erdogan's Jihadist force buildup in Idlib for months. All of them are at fault.

Then there are rumours that the IDF have amassed an armoured force in the Golan Heights, and "reconciled rebels" are picking up arms against Assad again in the south, and Damascus. So things are looking dire for Syria, Russia, and Iran axis.
