This aircraft looks just like the fictional YR-99 Forneus from ACE Combat.
As a huge fan of ACE Combat, the first thing that came to mind when I saw SAC's Fighter was the YR-99.

From a purely aesthetics POV, the J-20 is my favourite warplane because of its silhouette complexity and uniqueness. The F-22 is also a favourite, but because of its sleek design (opposite end). The CAC J-36 looks futuristic, but also a little odd in that it looks uncanny for a fighter (perhaps my mindset is too stuck in the old ways).
This however... looks futuristic in a recognisable way. Its complex like the J-20 but also incredibly sleek like the F-22. It might become my new favourite. All from a purely aesthetics POV, of course. The rest remains to be seen.
A few days ago the consensus was moving towards the SAC prototype being a UAV. Is that still the case?

Which is mildly ironic, as the prevailing theme in CAC topic is that next gen doesn't need it.
For all we know the design philosophy might be too radical and wrong. Better to walk on two legs than to be caught by surprise, like century fighters/F-4 during Vietnam.
It seems the two factions of bloggers on weibo still insist on their own views.

If that's anywhere near reality, there is no more dogfighting cope. The adaptive rear stabilizers + full control surface wing trailing edge would mean that this thing is like an airborne Kung Fu master in WVR combat while VLO + supersonic characteristics would make it as slippery as a ninja.
