There are totally three 6G aircrafts from CAC and SAC according to 草根 and others on Weibo. One is manned from CRC(flown), one is loyal wingman from SAC(flown first) and the last one is one manned from SAC which is coming in a few days. The two from SAC are land and carrier compatible. Other aircrafts even H20 are not considered 6G. This is my understanding.

And all three are said to be unveiled by year's end?

Enough to explain why there's just 4 DDGs in the latest batch lol

Even China has to work with tradeoffs on what to spend on.

At this point, I think they've got enough DDGs (50-ish) and we've seen funding shift towards towards the Air Force, in particular for air superiority capability

I think most were under the impression China only prints marginally more wealth than US does and doesn't devote nearly as much of it on military. But in reality, China prints a shit ton more money than US and simply had hidden a lot of it into black projects for the last decade, the program costs for these things together alongside with everything else might imply a military cost of $2-3 trillion per year, much higher than the $900 billion US has.

Best guess is that the Chinese economy is 1.5 to 2x larger than the US in terms of actual consumption of goods and services

I don't think it is that China spends a mind-boggling amount of more money, but Chinese industry is way more efficient, frugal and accepts much lower profit margins. As the USAF general said to US defence contractors, China develops weapons 5x faster and has a 20x cost advantage in equivalent hypersonic missiles.

Anyway, back on topic
