So I guess the confusion is whether or not the J-XDS is manned or not.

Is there indeed a rumor that the first flight will take place so soon?

Didn't one of the insiders say that SAC's airframe is the first 6th generation platform? This would rule out the possibility of it being unmanned.

Additionally, if SAC is indeed yet to unveil it's manned fighter platform, would it compete against the J-36 for an in-service contract or complement it?

Refer my latest post just before yours.

So just let me get this straight regarding developments in the past few days...

To sum it up -
1. Chengdu AC:
- J-36/J-XDC manned fighter (first flight 26/12/2024)
- Loyal wingman UCAV (WIP, first flight unknown)
2. Shenyang AC:
- Loyal wingman UCAV (first flight 20/12/2024 or 22/12/2024)
- J-XDS manned fighter (first flight within next few days)
3. Xi'an AC:
- KJ-3000 4th-gen AEW&C aircraft (first flight 29/11/2024)
- H-20 manned bomber (WIP, first flight before Zhuhai 2026)

There is also possible sighting of an unknown flying-wing U(C)AV (possible RQ-180-counterpart? Loyal wingman to H-20?) flying somewhere recently (possibly Shenyang?).

Did I get them all?

Wait, wait ... since when is it "confirmed" the SAC J-XDS we saw yesterday is just a loyal wingman and the true J-XDS is not yet flown?

SAC prototype that flew is actually a UAV.

their manned platform is yet to fly.

This is based on what??

SAC is cooking something. this time they are going to surprise the aviation world.

the bigger platform in this image looks big as a flanker and with TVC.

Could you please provide a link to such claim or this one?

But is he that much credible?

I'm still having some reservations, if I'm being honest.

Though, there's this one from @洋务先驱张之洞 as well, of which the Guancha Trios and Cute Orca often interacted with in the leading up to the J-XDC reveal. I trust this guy more than 草根.

Note: "biu" refers to "take flight/fly" in this context.

Meaning...?
过几天北边还有一个 = In a few days there's still something coming from the north.

Basically implying that something else from SAC will take flight in the coming days.

Translation:
Is no one making guesses about how many machs these things (referring to the "UCAV/or 6th gen prototype"?) and the one coming after that can go up to? :doge:

how much investment is China pouring into military aviation ?
Enough to explain why there's just 4 DDGs in the latest batch lol
how can they have so many Top Tier programs running side by side

this is what you get what Top State control and hard works gets things done
I think most were under the impression China only prints marginally more wealth than US does and doesn't devote nearly as much of it on military. But in reality, China prints a shit ton more money than US and simply had hidden a lot of it into black projects for the last decade, the program costs for these things together alongside with everything else might imply a military cost of $2-3 trillion per year, much higher than the $900 billion US has.
