Wait, wait, wait.

The plot starts in 2012 near the end of April, the smuggler guy doesn't find a Chinese buyer for the stuff for 3 months until July, and they're saying they would export 2 tons of material for one prototype plane that's going to fly 2 months later in the beginning of October. And they're saying this implies something about China's stealth planes? When exactly were the Chinese supposedly expecting this stuff to be shipped???

Hey guys, this news proves two things. The Chinese can build advanced fighter prototypes from raw materials in less than 2 months now, but they also can't mass produce these things themselves without smuggling tons of supplies for every plane. Or I guess they can copy the material, and learn how to mass produce it themselves soon.

LOL.

Anybody can hand build one advanced aircraft. Building 200 of them calls for something else

Sure. I'm not talking about that though. You're not paying $4 million to ship 2 tons of carbon fiber to have a flying prototype in less than 2 months, least of all when the smuggler apparently had to spend 3 months to search for this supposed Chinese builder in the first place.

What the heck kind of development program would anyone, Chinese or otherwise, be running if their project hinges on scouring the black market for raw material for a fighter plane that has a deadline 2 months away?

So, they can produce J-20 which is way more advanced, but when it come to F-60 they have to steal? what I am more curious is that, aren't you getting tired of being proved wrong over and over again?

Do you serious think they can only produce prototypes after all that you have seem? I mean, I really hate to be you. You want them to fail SOOO much, but time again and again you have been proven wrong over and over again, it must burns you up inside.

The thing is, China has long been doing their own research on composite material and has been manufacturing and using them on their fighter jets for years.

I am curious as to your definition of anybody. So far, the only countries that possess stealth fighter prototypes are US, China, and Russia. What this shows is that not anybody can build an advanced aircraft.

Building the J-20 and J-31 on a mass production scale requires materials that must be manufactured to exacting standards. This story right here may have bearing on the quest to build 5th generation fighters in Chinese aerospace

The article hardly substantiates the claim. How does some guy trying to steal material demonstrate that China can't mass produce that same material when we already know they can produce it?

the stealth technology is more common than thought you are right most aircraft manufactures can build faceted shapes, but stealth is more than faceting it means materials too, and composites

however a manned program is more expensive than a UCAV is for such fewer countries build manned stealth programs, but is not lack of technology in the case of many nations, but of integration of technologies and budgets

Is it your belief that a prototype can do with the use substandard materials then? If so, then you are not making any sense.

The article reminds me of the early days when J-20 is revealed, where people formed an opinion then looked for evidence to support their own bias. First, people claimed J-20 is just a work from Photoshop. When higher resolution images come out, those people claimed the aircraft is just a mock up. Then, the aircraft moved under its own power, and those people asserted the plane cannot fly. After J-20 flew, we started hearing how J-20 is just a one time tech-demonstrator since there is no weapon bay. When pictures of weapon bays showed up, those people started to make claims base on things that can't be seen; things such as RAM, avionics, and engines. The claim implied by the article is just a continuation of these pathetic fantasies that are proven wrong time after time.

the point of the article is the guy tried to export the materials and now he is arrested, simple like thaty the rest debatable

LOL, i find very hard to believe that china (or any other nation in this world) would need to illegaly smuggle materials to built its planes. Do you think that you can fool anyone with this? man, this thread is becoming a circus, with posts like this. We have already TVC engines, submarine reactors, and smuggled materials. what next?
