Well... as to who is going to buy... Pakistan is the most likely contender for the Chinese arms, and if the price is good enough, I believe Myanmar and some ASEAN countries like Indonesia will be interested. I also believe Syria and Iran will be truely interested in this plane too.

Of course Pakistan would be the primary customer but not the break-out customer unless Pakistan goes to war and beats their opponent with it. But short of war, it would have to be a customer who to the least has Western fighters of their own.

I remember when J20 flew while Gates was there, they got so upset at the loss of face they let loose their hounds in the western media on Hu, saying he's lost control of PLA.
Wonder which poor Chinese leader will get ripped apart this time while Panetta visits. :)

Good grief boy, the western media hates the US military, and gates is a doofus, between rummy, who I generally respect, and cheney, who I used to respect, and gates, who has always been a doofus along with BHO they collectively killed the F-22, and they are still killing it in the press. Panetta is more of the same, and the F-35 is kinemetically a little behind the curve. I'm sure you guys enjoy all this, but do look at the J-31/F-60 and those tall proud verts and look me in the eye and tell me the truth, how about you player, you're my best friend, that doesn't look a little bit like a Raptor? are ya sure Siege? Let me just say for the record, the first F-15 I saw over Central Illinois, my first thought was, "Whats a mig 25 doin cranking and banking over Uncle Henry's cornfield? And how many Rolex knock-offs are out there? Good night gentlemen, Brat

Anyway the PS of this gal is my new screen saver, I'll suggest that the US might buy two, HE,He! Well put me down for 1, I'd like to be the first in my neighborhood with a new Chinese Fighter. Zoom! Zoom!

Oh and guys for future reference the Western Psyche is more like, wow, they really do have those things? We're not quite that fragile. and we're really not that into saving face, we enjoy a good laugh at our own expense, kind of a sign of being a big boy!

Maybe the DPRK could afford a few planes themselves, of course this would put chitters among the South Korean air forces, therefore put in more orders for the F-35A while waiting for their own stealth plane to be develop. I can imagine even Iraq, and some South American countries that needs to update their air forces pretty badly. Georgia perhaps and maybe Poland could be in the market as far as Europe.

Hehe, I was too eager to join in and took that guy for you. And what you did with "Time to unveil a new stealth fighter..." for "又该泄露一种新型的隐形战斗机了" is what I liked and sort of suggested to him.

But I'm not sure about this "天啊。你们是不是要挑战我们啊!?" for "Sheesh, guys, can't you make it a challenge?"... Sounds to me "can't you not make it a challenge" closer to your translation?

I think, Sweetman's humor lies in: "This, check (same as last time), that, check (same ole same), fuzzy pics, check (again the same style)", hence "Can't you guys make it more difficult (a challege) for us?"

To unveil such a high profile fighter in the midst of a dispute is another message send by PLA.

And again... Any planes from China is deemed as copied from F-22...F-35 bah bah bah

Agreed... thus the mentioning of Indonesia :)

Indonesia had already started operating Chinese missiles (anti-ship) and I believe they do have some military cooperation with China too. Also Myanmar was a traditional supporter for Chinese arms, thus I think she will get some when the plane is out.

As for middle eastern countries, the only two countries I can think of is Syria and Iran.

As to North Korea, if the plane is not too expensive... they will get it... or they might ask the Chinese to donate some to them. What I am seeing was that if this plane came out faster than the Russian's T-50, it might be an attractive option for countries that are operating Russian's aircrafts.

Supplying the J-31 to Indonesia and Thailand would see $$$ coming to China.
Supplying the J-31 to Myammar or N Korea would stir big plup of stool to US.
