Well... as to who is going to buy... Pakistan is the most likely contender for the Chinese arms, and if the price is good enough, I believe Myanmar and some ASEAN countries like Indonesia will be interested. I also believe Syria and Iran will be truely interested in this plane too.
I remember when J20 flew while Gates was there, they got so upset at the loss of face they let loose their hounds in the western media on Hu, saying he's lost control of PLA.
Wonder which poor Chinese leader will get ripped apart this time while Panetta visits.
Of course Pakistan would be the primary customer but not the break-out customer unless Pakistan goes to war and beats their opponent with it. But short of war, it would have to be a customer who to the least has Western fighters of their own.

Agreed... thus the mentioning of Indonesia
Indonesia had already started operating Chinese missiles (anti-ship) and I believe they do have some military cooperation with China too. Also Myanmar was a traditional supporter for Chinese arms, thus I think she will get some when the plane is out.
As for middle eastern countries, the only two countries I can think of is Syria and Iran.
As to North Korea, if the plane is not too expensive... they will get it... or they might ask the Chinese to donate some to them. What I am seeing was that if this plane came out faster than the Russian's T-50, it might be an attractive option for countries that are operating Russian's aircrafts.
