I hope afterlife is real just so that Sullivan could explain to Brzezinski how under his tenure he not only managed to create the highly improbable Sino-Russo-Iranian triumvirate but also added Saudi Arabia/UAE to the mix as a bonus.

Well, it's probably better that China is the primary backer of an organization that does loans as lender of last resort rather than doing all of its own loans.

Former Brazilian head Dilma Rousseff is now the head of NDB, which has its headquarter in Shanghai. I wold think a lot of countries end up getting loans from here

China has strong desire to solidify its hold over the Central Asian republicans These countries in China's backyard are very important for BRI initiatives, security and as supplies of natural resources (especially Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan)

If China does want to have significant presence in Central and Western Asia, then it may want to look into a military base in either Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan is out. They're as isolationist as North Korea without any pressure meaning they chose it. They aren't a member of SCO, CSTO, BRICS, etc. They don't want to be involved with any country. In addition, Turkmenistan is 3 countries away from China.

Kazakhstan is pressuring Russia too much.

Once the international intervention in Yemen ends, this will develop similar to North and South Vietnam. South Yemen is going to collapse and the Houthis will rule the whole country except for maybe Socotra, which could end up in a Taiwan/ROC like situation

Brazil must do a balancing act because it is caught between its largest trading partner and largest investor. China cannot yet displace the US, not with a measly $20 billion fund. There is much work to be done. The Workers’ Party and Lula are old and influential friends of China and will cooperate with her to reduce Latin America's reliance on US.
