Since you are new to this forum, I will give you this rundown. We don't look at SeeSeePee as anything other than leadership for China. They represent China's interest. So, if you want to talk about Chinese leadership, just say China or Chinese leadership. I'm really annoyed by this Western narrative that somehow CCP is running China geopolitical different any other parties would run China.
Not to mention how that narrative is propagated as just a way for CIA and US State department to keep the door open on regime change in China. Anyone who spouts that narrative should be instabanned.

A senior Iranian official also confirmed, "The top envoys agreed to meet on Apr. 6 in Beijing as the deal was facilitated by China." On the agenda is expected to be the mutual reopening of embassies and appointment of ambassadors.

"The era of the United States' involvement in this region is over... The regional countries are capable of preserving security and stability in the Middle East without Washington's interference," another Iranian official said.
On the issue of China, the powerful US rival, leading the way in brokering peace, Saudi-owned Asharq al-Awasat newspaper cited a source in Riyadh to say that choosing China as host country for the meeting "came as an extension of Beijing's positive role in reaching the agreement and facilitating communication between the two countries."

it's kind of ridiculous to me that we are even getting into this much politics when it comes to undersea cable since it had been mostly private companies building them before.

Private companies that were completely under the thumb of USG. That's the key difference here.

China has strong desire to solidify its hold over the Central Asian republicans These countries in China's backyard are very important for BRI initiatives, security and as supplies of natural resources (especially Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan)

If China does want to have significant presence in Central and Western Asia, then it may want to look into a military base in either Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan.

The Saudis got control of their country after fighting in a guerrilla war against the Ottoman Empire. So it is no surprise they do not have good relations with the Turks. The Turks also have close ties with Qatar, and the Saudis have frayed relations with Qatar.

China may or could do something to improve relation between Qatar and KSA

Would be interesting if this happens. Who knows
I don't think it's likely that they bring up anything concrete.

Except maybe just calling for ceasefire so that both sides can come to a table and at least start some discussion.

With that said, there needs to be will from leadership on both sides of wanting it, if they think there's still more to be gained on the battlefield, then lol, gotta wait for them to fight some more.
