In 2002, ratified the organization statute to encourage political, trade, economic, technological, cultural, and educational collaboration.
Since then, the Shanghai Cooperative Organization has undertaken over 20 large-scale projects related to transportation, energy, and telecommunications. A notable initiative is China’s expansive (BRI).
The organization has also expanded its geopolitical influence. It attained observer status in the UN General Assembly in 2005 and gave Afghanistan observer status in 2012. Currently, it is working with the interim administration to include Afghan representatives in its future meetings.
India and Pakistan officially became members of the SCO in 2017, and Iran is in the process of obtaining full-time membership. Egypt and Qatar are dialogue partners, and Saudi Arabia, a traditional U.S. ally, has taken steps to join. Belarus is set to become a member in 2024 after signing a memorandum of obligations.

The interim Taliban government and Iran have agreed to establish a corridor through Afghanistan’s Wakhan to connect the Islamic republic with China and Uzbekistan, an official said.
️ Afghanistan’s delegation arrived in Iran on November 4. The 30-member delegation was led by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Taliban government Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
️ Mujahid said that the delegation discussed increasing Afghanistan’s exports and imports through the Chabahar port of Iran.
️ During the meeting, the two parties also talked about connecting Iran with Uzbekistan through Afghanistan and extending the railway project along the route to the Wakhan corridor, he added.

Strait of Tiran is 12.3km wide at most, the beginning is even narrower with 3km, if either Egypt, Iran or KSA get any funny ideas, the strait will be blocked by mines.
Gigachad 9000 IQ move would be for China to let the West built this Canal for 80 Gazillion dollars with Chinese steel and concrete and then entice either Egypt, Iran or Saudis to block the Strait of Tiran. Maybe just built a Bridge across it, so that no container ships can cross anymore. (Same thing happened betwenn Croatia and Bosnia and Herzogovina and its port of Neum (not NEOM, that is THE LINE of KSA))

Sounds like the British and French never got over their Suez moment.
I think it’s safe to say that Russia has now accepted that India bas betrayed the BRICS for the anglos and should be marginalised from further SCO developments here on out.
Let Iran take on the I in BRICS
To be frank the Indian overstate their importance, I mean what would they contribute? I think its the other way around, the Indians needed the West to counter balance China, they're vulnerable and they know it. They were in the region where their neighbors look at her with suspicion.
The Russian need to accommodate India for their National Interest BUT the core of BRICS is China and Russia the rest are acronyms.
