Oh true, I keep forgetting you have that great site dedicated to the amphibs as well. I was looking for frigates at first, no luck there, obviously.

Now, I will be gone tommorow morning and might not be online for a few days. I will be sending the answer of my quiz to popeye, so he may declare the winner once it's solved.

Hmmm looks like an older missile, perhaps nuclear.

Almost like a GAM-87 Skybolt, but also even more like the British Avro-Vulcan Blue Steel nuclear missile (which the UK used to replace the Skybolt when it was cancelled)

I'm going with the Avro-Vulcan Blue Steel missile used by the UK for their V-Bomber force (the Valiant, Vulcan and the Victor). Entered service in 1963 and remained in service until 1970. Range: 150 miles, Speed: Mach 2.3, CEP 100 meters, Yield: 1.1 MegaTon. This missile was the UK's principle standoff nuclear missile before the Polaris. Is that correct?

:confused:Hey bd, I'm really worried about the Headmaster and that young apprentice of his, the Scratchman, I think they've gone over to the "dark side", I mean the bridge on an Italiano landing craft, super top secret, secret, Nuclear missles from Jolly Olde? Oh, and I didn't wanna mention Venus, my wife said, what are you watching, I said, ah what do you mean, she said that! That missle, I guess I could say a Firebee Drone, but I'd be wrong, and I think he's up there in Idaho gettin ready to plant his potatoes or somethin. We better keep an eye on those two, there always a master and his apprentice.
