The former Soviet Union (Russia) first space shuttle program. Launched only once, but I don't know the name on top of my head.

The launcher is definitely similar to the one which carries the Buran shuttle called the Energia launcher but I do not know what the black vehicle is!!
Is that the unarmed prototype of the planned Soviet laser battlestation Skif (prototype called Polus) from the early 1980s, with the Prototype launched May 15, 1987? WHole thing was cancelled with the fall of the Soviet Union.
I believe Energia Corp was working on it.

That was a huge and expensive undertaking...and really neat technology. But the USSR just could not afford to try and keep up with the US Star Wars and it bankrupted them.
Now we are seeing Western democracies bankrupting themselves over social spending and entitlement programs!
Anyhow, let me think about something and go for it in the next couple of hours.
Yeah take your time, my heads spinning right now, that was quite a sinister looking setup seige. Thats one thing I loved about the cold war, all this neat looking, James Bond looking military stuff.
