Work on Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems for PAK FA is on Schedule
The work to create locators and electronic warfare systems, operated by the concern “Radio-electronic technology” under the project of promising aviation complex for tactical aircraft T-50, goes to the chart, the first deputy general director of KRET Igor Nasenkov told reporters on Tuesday.

“We are strictly in the schedule,” Nasenkov said.

As Air Force Commander Colonel General Viktor Bondarev stated, serial supplies to the troops of fifth generation fighter will begin in 2016. According to the head of the UAC Yuri Slyusar, we began adjusting supplies of these aircraft for the Ministry of Defense.

The concern “Radio-electronic technology” (KRET) is Russia’s largest holding company in the electronic industry. It is a member of the state corporation “Rostec”.

The Russian Armed Forces began to accept into service the first fifth-generation aircraft, the T-50 (PAK FA), announced Yury Slyusar, head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), on January 30 during an interview on the TV channel Russia-24.

If this statement has any credibility or truth value to it, it has to be the most significant announcement of the T-50 development. Yet it sounds as if it is an after thought statement made by some bureaucrat rather than a major milestone announcement.
It is so incredulous that I don't know what to make of it.

What is the opinion of our Russian watchers?

It could be their way of saying the design is now final and they are beginning to seriously move into a phase of weapon (internal bays in particular) and sub-system testing.

There is still much to do to operationalize the aircraft and they seemingly have an aggressive induction timetable ahead of them.

It isn't significant. They had mentioned this a few years back.

But the problem again is - I know I'm here probably deemed by some as the T-50-hater, but that's not true ! - that the Russian media cooks something up, says it is based on an official source and some simply take it for granted.

If You take a second look and think ... You come to the conclusion this simply can't be: there are now four T50s flying, the next series of prototypes is still waiting (at least we are waiting) ... not even a single bird passed all tests including weapon's testing ... and now they tell us "oh wonder, it entered service " !

Don't You think - if true - the RuAF would have made a lot of fanfare, a big celebration and even more a much bigger media event ?

Therefore ... I take all what comes from the Russian media with a LOT of salt, to admit, a Rock of salt.

I don't know if the article itself quotes truly. It may be made up. However this is around the time the acceptance trials should be finished, and limited/full series production should be starting.

Old article from 2013

The first state acceptance trials are due to start in 2014,

President Mikhail Pogosyan said earlier this year, and production should start in 2015.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that production aircraft will enter service in 2016.

If the program has followed the schedule, then everything mentioned in the above article is correct.

There is a statement about " beginning of delivery" of initial batch in Russian media . Here is relevant sentence , you could google translate everything if you want .

I suppose this means that state acceptance trials have begun .
