I am niether optimistic or naive, those have been the official Russian statements, Russia has said they are developing 3 new programs, PAKDA the new Stealth aircraft, and the light weight fighter (it could be MiG-35 or a new design i have no idea how to confirm it)and a MiG-31 replacement, officials from the Russian aerospace have argued about the wisdom of only having PAKFA as the only export product, type 30 engine has to be test flown in 2017 now is in design.

The only thing you are suggesting me is do not believe them, it is not a matter of faith, it is a matter of time by 2020 we will know.

I'm sorry to say so: You are naïve, overoptimistic and ... You are simply - like You admitted Yourself - a Russian-fan-boy who looks Russian TV and only rephrases parrot-like everything any officials from Russia says without the slightest bit of thinking !

As such it is not a matter of faith, it's a matter of logic, thinking, a bit of math, ratio and even more some common sense !!

they have said they will have 55 aircraft by 2020, a production rate of around 12 aircraft a year has been suggested, you have to wait at least one year or two to see the bort numbers and the final looks, but i agree i think they have frozen the airframe configuration, the round nacelles are much more streamlined but people say these are not stealthy enough, who knows, Russia says the Hymalaya smart skin will do part of the stealth job and the composites the other to keep it concealed, who knows only time will tell

How on earth will they build 55 T-50 by 2020 if they did not finish testing even more operational testing and with 055 in mind if they did not manage to get one single aircraft to the air last year ?? To keep faith that there will be 55 within the next 6 years is not only naïve, it's plain stupid !

As such again it is not a matter of faith, it's again a matter of logic, thinking, a bit of math, ratio and even more some common sense !! ... and I go even further a bit.

I not only ask You for all Your posts ... I give You a clear order after so many repeated requests:

- read, think and consider if it is only the quoting of a propaganda ? If YES, then do not tell it a fact ! Especially only telling "it is from a Russian official" is not a reason to be a fact.
- give source, date and even more quote correctly since these are not Your considerations, these are simply quotes and as such they have to be given in the correct way.

Take this as a moderator's advice and if You cant comply with them I will give You a longer time-out to reconsider the way of posting and discussing here especially in mind of the content's quality You post here and finally to think about if SDF requires a too high level of at least a scientific way or if another forum is better for Your propaganda.

Russian Air Force to receive fifth-generation fighters in 2016 as scheduled — company

MOSCOW, February 2. /TASS/. Russian United Aircraft Corporation will supply to the Air Force Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 fifth-generation fighters in 2016, the corporation’s press service told TASS on Monday.

"We shall begin the supplies in 2016, according to the schedule," the corporation said.

The fighters are produced in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

Compared to the previous generation fighters PAK FA possesses a number of unique features combining the functionality of both attack aircraft and fighter plane. The 5th generation fighter is equipped with brand-new avionics suite integrating "electronic pilot" functionality, as well as advanced phased-array antenna radar. This significantly decreases pilot load to allow focusing upon completion of tactical missions. New aircraft on-board equipment allows real-time data exchange not only with ground based control systems, but also within the flight group.

Aksha, IMHO that is video from before the fire, if Sukhoi repairs and flys 055 again it will be a big deal, and the Russians will make that a big deal. Everyone has seen the pictures of 055 all burned out, its no secret, if it is repaired, it will be a triumph for Sukhoi, and it be accorded appropriate fanfare, in addition if 055s repairs are getting close to a first flight, a very big if???? we would see pictures of the new center fuse/center section all nice and shiney carbon fiber and titanium!

First series of T-50 aircrafts has entered the Russian Air Force

The Russian Armed Forces began to accept into service the first fifth-generation aircraft, the T-50 (PAK FA), announced Yury Slyusar, head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), on January 30 during an interview on the TV channel Russia-24.

The PAK FA will be subjected to qualification testing directly in the service of the armed forces. Currently, all T-50 prototypes are being tested in special flight centers. Mass delivery of the aircraft to the armed forces is expected in 2016.

The T-50 differs from the 4 and 4++ generation of jet fighters, with the presence of modern radar stations (RLS), which can detect “stealth” technology aircraft. In addition, there is the Himalaya electronic warfare complex and an arsenal of precision weapons, which are also undergoing a series of tests together with the airplane. The new aircraft is invisible to enemy radar: the aircraft manufacturers at Sukhoi succeeded in significantly reducing the PAK FA’s radar cross section – the basic characteristic that makes aircraft visible to radars.

According to the Air Force Commander Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev, the new Russian plane concedes nothing to the American F-22.

UAC President Yury Slyusar noted that in 2015, the UAC will achieve maximum capacity for the production of combat aircraft. According to RIA Novosti, the Defense Ministry, the customer of military products, this year expects to receive combat, strategic, military transport, and special aviation equipment.
