Hi,

Just wanted to chip in regarding your post above Deino, 055 did not "crashed" but suffered a fire on the ground just after landing- if i recall correctly -on one engine, after suffering an inflight incident (OBOGS blew up, or perhaps engine problem of some kind, i can't recall exactly what the definitive problem was according to russian posters). Something akin to what happened to that J-15 recently.

Deino is very well aware of the exact nature of 055 engine fire and total write-off, in fact it was Deino who first suggested on the Sino Defense Forum that 055 was in fact a total write-off, after observing pictures of the delaminated carbon fibre fuselage hanging all over the place.

several posters took exception and several prolly still take exception, but those are the "facts Jack!".

you are incorrect, 055 was repaired by official sources, some unofficial recent reports say 057 is a static prototype thus it never flew, any way Sukhoi never said what you claim and your sources are a few posters from Airforce.ru that from time to time post in secretprojects thus it is nothing official but forum opinions, which any one can check and are widely spread in Russian speaking forums

No engineer working at Sukhoi will break security just to please a few plane spotters so they can boast in western forums as we do here

Well I'm hoping that pretty picture is your wife, and she may very well believe you, but no one else here believes these "Russian Fairy Tails",,, you make up stories that would cause Putin to "blush"!

Ok. it was not a real crash but a landing mishap after an engine-related fire and that actual 055 is a write off. There are countless reports that not many pars were reused to build 055R. So in the end it was close to a crash even if the term was not correct.

And what is wrong with my statement on 075?? I exactly said 057 (= static).

Peter Butowsky can say whatever he wants, but to have authority he has to quote someone from Sukhoi or the book he writes being sponsored by Sukhoi or AUC, Andrei Fomin when he wrote his books acknowledged help from Sukhoi to the degree he has pictures given the Sukhoi bureau and he gives thanks to Russian authorities for the help given officially.
Sukhoi never acknowledged T-055 was written off.

I will challenge you to give me an official source where they say T-056 is written off or at least a TV report where sukhoi officials say what you claim.


I know and sorry to say it you do not have them, the information given is pure speculation now made in some forums dogma, but no official information has ever said 055 was written off

the claimed reports are not official, they are speculation rehashed of initial speculation from Russian speaking forums
