Footage of the use of the Russian machine BTM-3 for digging trenches. The BTM-3 trench machine was used in the USSR in the engineering troops in the seventies and was clearly removed from conservation, despite its age, it is not bad and is now fulfilling its tasks. The BTM-3 engineering vehicle based on the AT-T tractor is capable of creating trenches with a length of 270 to 810 meters per hour, depending on the specified trench depth and soil strength. The depth of the created trenches is up to 1.5 meters. Vehicle transport speed 36 km/h

In Russia, the modernization of T-62 tanks began, an order for the modernization of 800 tanks was received by 103 armored repair plant in Atamanovka near Chita. The T-62 tank was created on the basis of the T-55 tank and was produced in the USSR from 1962 to 1975. Now Russia has 2,500 T-62 tanks in storage, some of them, and maybe all of them, will be upgraded to the level of modern tanks. The tanks will be equipped with modern thermal imagers, night sights, mounted armor and protection against missile systems, as well as aft protection against grenade launchers. The company has already begun the modernization of tanks and is working in two shifts.

This kind of thing makes little sense to me. Russia has enough T-72 tanks in storage they could be upgrading instead and this will only complicate logistics and training.

Russia supposedly has like 8000 T-72 tanks in storage. So it is not like they will run out of tanks to refurbish.
Some of their units are using T-72B tanks from Soviet stock without thermals, and they are going to waste installing modern thermals on T-62s. The mind boggles. Are they making so many of the things now?

If you think of the T62M as an engine mounted defence battery they fit perfectly. They can fill many defence nodes and are very useful against IFVs and APCs.

Personally I am less than happy with this large expansion of Tu-204/214 production. To a large degree it will compete with the MC-21 for the same manufacturing resources. Not the final assembly line for sure, but in things like APUs and other equipment in a lot of cases, it is either the same Russian vendors or even basically the same product. In the case of the APU both are going to be made by Aerosila and are basically the same product with some modifications from what I understand due to differences in required electric vs hydraulic power output. In the case of the engines, the production line of the PD-14 and PS-90 is currently shared and both are being built in the same building. I would not be surprised if KRET is making the avionics for both Tu-204/214 and MC-21, etc.

It makes sense to refurbish older Tu-204/214s and press them into service, but building new ones, I think it might just hinder the ramp up of MC-21 production further.
There is no way current MC21 can compete with Tu-214. traditional airframe airplane is far easier to modify in various variants and easy to scale up production.
Composites are too slow to ramp up production and not many variants can be created . for example the Cabin width of Airbus A220 is not much different than A320 and A220 range and fuel efficiency is superior to A320 in most cases but Airbus simply cannot ramp up A220 production and further modifications.
Engine should not be a problem in production rate. newest variants of PS90 (they are using it in gas compressors) has thrust upto 18 tons. which should translate into long haul flights.
they already took into consideration Tu-214 when developing parts.

Russia issued NOTAM saying it will conduct extensive live-fire exercises in the Barents Sea near Finnmark, northern areas of the Kingdom of Norway.

Russian NOTAMs in the Barents Sea are PRIP (Notice of Navigation) correspondents for northern Teriberka and say rocket/missile launches. Per observers and local media, dates start from yesterday, October 12, 2022, and extend to October 15, 2022

Observers report that Russian Forces are apparently about to conduct a long-range missile test (nuclear or non-nuclear) in the Barrents Sea in the next few days!

NOTMAR: Barents Sea: "Missile launch detected. Falling rocket elements scheduled October 14-17, 2022"

OFF: There are allegations that a secret mobilization has been announced in Belarus. Subpoenas began to be sent to small areas of Belarus.

If this was closer to Severny Island it would be a Burevestnik test. There was supposed to be a test of that sometime soon.
Perhaps another Zircon test launch?
