I will agree; the Georgians are going to be busy chewing over what when well during the conflict, and what didn't go so well and what they could do to better next time. They will also look towards continuing to update and improve their armed forces, like they have been up until recently.

Have anyone of you notice that the US and Russia are playing the eye-blinking game they played during the Cuba Missile Crisis? Only that I doubt that Pludin or Bush will blink their eyes this time.
I doubt that there will be a World War Three. The whole thing will ended with a mediation from the EU if Russia stop where they are today. If Russia advance forward, there will be a new government in Georgia before weekend.
Pointblank, I don't think there will be next time for Georgia.

i think the t-90 may/may not be used depending on NATO presence. when u bring out the t-90, NATO thinks way how to take out the t-90

Besides the standard APFSDS and HEAT rounds, the T-90 can also fired ATGM missile, 9M119M Refleks-M. It's guided by laser beam.

Victor Yushchenko, on Wednesday announced restrictions on use of the Crimean port of Sevastopol by Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, a move that follows a challenge by Kiev this week to Moscow’s naval operations off Georgia’s coast.

The surprise decree by Ukraine’s pro-western president requires Russian naval vessels to request permission 10 days in advance before returning to the strategically important port, which Russia leases from Ukraine. Russia’s defence ministry quickly denounced it as “not serious”.

I have been trying to find more corroboration about the Georgian military being demobilised but so far its just one verbal report from the BBC. It must be said though that Georgian troops are now highly invisible and that even this mornings headlines about Russia handing back Gori to Georgian Security forces is referring to Police and not Military Units.

Also found this blog which is quite interesting and with a few good embeded videos about The Russian moves yesterday towards Tbilisi and the occupation of Poti and the sinking of any remaining Georgian missile boats.

there is report circulating that the russian command ship Moskova was hit by GET THIS the same anti ship missile that popped that israeli ship. The Moskova was removed from the AO back to russian port.

The report went on talking to a russian sailor that 3 or 4 very fast georgian ships attacked us. The Moskova was hit and was on fire but it was put out. We then launced a SSM and cut that ship in half.

I don't see how Georgia could have possibly gotten Chinese C-802.

Does anybody know what aircraft the US is flying into Tblisi? There are transports, but any escorts? What kind of ships are ordered to deliver supplies to Georgia? LPD? LHD? Destroyers?
