FYI these are onshore gas fields in Russia which used to supply the Nord Stream 1 pipeline. And the only way to sell gas from them is to use Gazprom's pipeline infrastructure. i.e. either they sell at the price the Russian government wants, or they won't sell anything at all.

Russia sets its own gas-price cap for EU

Gazprom has been banned from buying gas from its projects with Western partners at above a price to be set by Kremlin
...
According to the decree, published on the official government portal, Gazprom and its subsidiaries are prohibited from paying for gas, or for its production and transport, from joint projects with its EU partners in Russia if the amount of payment is higher than the cost established by the Russian government.

The decree targets Gazprom's joint ventures with Germany’s Wintershall and Austria's OMV. In partnership with the two companies, Gazprom is developing two large natural gas deposits in Russia, the Yuzhno-Russkoye and the Urengoyskoye fields.

The regulation has been introduced retroactively, and so is enforeceable from March 1, 2022, and will be effective until October 1, 2023. The government has been charged with setting a price limit within ten days.

Russia to divert gas away from West – official

Moscow will focus on Asian markets despite EU requests to increase supply, Deputy Prime Minister Novak says
...
“If earlier only 11 million tons [of LNG] were produced in Russia, today there are already four plants operating, with a total capacity of 36 million tons,” the minister stressed.

In the next three or four years Russia is set to boost LNG production to 60 million tons and then bring the figure up to 100 million tons annually, Novak projected.

He also reminded his interviewer that along with growing supplies via the Power of Siberia pipeline, Russia and China have an agreement to build gas infrastructure with a capacity to deliver an additional ten billion cubic meters annually.

PJSC TransContainer (part of the Delo Group of Companies) has completed the reconstruction of its own terminal at the Zabaikalsk station, a strategic border crossing on the Russian-Chinese border. It accounts for about 30% of the total land container traffic between Russia and China.

As a result of the implementation of several stages of the project, the processing capacity of the site has grown 10 times since 2006, to 555,000 TEUs per year. In total, from 2006 to 2022, TransContainer allocated more than 5 billion rubles to expand the terminal's capacity.

The final stage of the modernization was the launch of a “through” operation technology - due to the lengthening of two receiving and departure tracks and the organization of a second route connecting to the Zabaikalsk station at the terminal, it became possible to supply and remove trains in both directions. This will allow starting from January 1, 2023 to increase the capacity of container trains with imports from China from the current 4-4.5 to 8-9 per day, satisfying the growing demand for transportation in communication with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
...
During the reconstruction of the terminal, the crane runways were lengthened from 57 to 71 standard cars, which made it possible to process entire trains, without unnecessary shunting operations and more quickly. In addition, a new inspection point was put into operation with five additional inspection places, which helps to reduce the downtime of containers under cargo operations, and the area of the covered temporary storage warehouse was increased almost 3 times (from 1.8 thousand to 5 thousand square meters). customs cargo. The fleet of reloading equipment has been expanded and updated. In particular, the number of reachstackers increased from 7 to 9, and a truck-mounted crane was purchased in addition to two gantry ones. With the acquisition of a nearby container yard in 2021, the total number of tracks has increased from 6 to 10.

I think Japan will run out of used cars. Japanese used car exports 180,688 but these are Japanese domestic model with steering on right side so cheaper. The steering on left side will be more popular. they are likely to cost more through third countries.

Among exports, most of them are used car exports. The export volume of used passenger cars to Russia from January to November this year was 180,688 units, with an export value of approximately 215.1 billion yen, far ahead of the United Arab Emirates (111,406 units, approximately 34.9 billion yen) in second place.
Currently, in Russia, Japanese high-end used cars with high asset value of 3 million to 4 million yen are said to be popular. As a result, the supply of used cars in the Japanese domestic market has decreased, leading to price hikes.
Japanese reporters do not touch on this point, but a reporter from The Wall Street Journal said at a press conference on the 10th, regarding natural gas imports and used car exports, ``How do you position this de facto military aid? '' he asked.

The Prime Minister's response to this was not very convincing, as he evaded "we are in line with the G7" and "the volume of crude oil exports to Japan has decreased significantly."
