LOL, one of the biggest problem with communication between PLA-watchers is standardizing the common nomenclature.

I said 201 instead of QJS161 or QJB201, QJS201, or QJY201, because I don't know which name we should really call it. I basically took the number given in the latest Zhuhai Air Show for both the 7.62 and the 5.8. I do believe both will be equipped even at the platoon level.

Don't you mean QJS161, AKA QJB20, 5.8mm, replacing Type 95? QJY 201 is 7.62mm.
QJY-201 LMG

I can see 5.8mm at the squad level and 7.62 at platoon level for non-mechanized infantry. Mech inf. will rely on their vehicles' weapons.

The full correct names of the machine guns could be seen on the weapons that were publicly presented and closely photographed in summer 2021, see the PLA Small armas thread...

QJY-201: general purpose machine gun, 7.62x51 mm
QJB-201: squad automatic weapon, 5.8x42 mm
QJS-161: shortened variant of the QJB-201 for airborne forces

do you have a picture of QJS161? I thought it was just the old name for QJB-201.

Well, these are two different types of weapons, but... Not quite absolutely, since the receiver is apparently the same and the barrels are interchangeable, i.e. it seems you can transform QJS-161 into QJB-201 and vice versa.

QJB - Qingwuqi Jiqiang Banyong - light weapon, machine gun, squad
QJS - Qingwuqi Jiqiang Sanbing - light weapon, machine gun, paratroop
