I don't think it's possible to establish noise levels for SSN or SSBN, this is highly classified information available to only the worlds best intelligence agency's who work with the Navy

Anything else is just guess work, a nuclear attack submarine is the jewel in the crown of any navy that operates them, they are the Ace up the sleeve which can change the out come of a entire war

not just the noise,but even a submerge submarine can be track by Synthetic aperture radar.there's technical term for this,but I forgot.
using SAR to track submarine was come as a accident. original developed in the 70's by oil company for deep sea drilling ,but by pure accident also surprise to discover it able to track submerge submrine.
during the 90's a US based chinese engineers was arrested for passing the technology know how to China.russian also possess the technology.

SAR typically detect teh wake of sub. but in deep ocean if sub is submerge to certain depth, it will be hard.

as far as noise level, i read alot article, including US navy report indicate the type 94 is fairly noise compare to russia SSBN. and its easier to track. during cold war, US tag each USSR SSBN with its own SSN. so i'm not suprise US navy is doing the same with chinese SSBN went out to sea.

Better this way — the fact that their test sub is so well shaped (comparatively), means the real new gen SSK or SSN may be even more design vigilant
