I used blender 2.42a. It's a free-ware 3D moddeling tool. Though it gives you many alternatives, it's a little more difficult than just drawing ;)
That's why I have to further study to apply textures, make it look more realistic.
I might add an aircraft later. You can make little animations, at least tutorials say so. Maybe I manage to create a short movie with an aircraft taking off :D

Great pictures! Is it possible to have the command post be moved to the bow of the ship, underneath the runway, but with an observer post on top? This will maximize space on the runway. Any advanced radar or electronic suites can be equipped on nearby vessels and intelligence relaid via an Aegis system.
