Hi @Scratch,

if the big red square is the elevator, I think, it is to large. The hull is like a box for stability and it shouldn't be interupted to much.

Well, there are two elevators on the right side aft and front to the island. The black lines show how far they go inwards. Actually they are perhaps 20x25m.
That red-like line is just a deck marking.

Honestly this is the most practical ski-jump design I've seent yet!:) Excellent "starter" CV. Excellent

Plently of room on deck for movement and spotting(parking) of aircraft. Deck-edge elevators. The weapons are placed on sponsons!

I would like to know the demensions and air wing make up.

With your permision I'm going to post this in a yahoo Cv group.

Re: Ideal chinese carrier thread

Well this is my design from post #64 with very minor alterations.
It's still 300m long. As I already said, the side length of one square in the left pic is 10m. Note, this is a waterline model, so it shows nothing of the hull that's below the surface.
There's really much space on the deck for a sky-jump (i.e. in comparisson to Kuznetsov). I don't really know why exactly. Perhaps my sky-jump is too short and therefore the radius too small, loading too many Gs on the gear during take-off. The deck is a bid wider on the front than on Kuznetsov and the island is smaller.
I can't really say what would be a fitting air-wing here, since I've no experiance in that. You might have a better idea, estimating from this pics and the cutaway pic in my post #64.
Perhaps 12 naval J-11 and 24 naval J-10, or vice veresa. 6 naval J-11 for tanker and recce. 4 AEW, i.e. KJ-2000. 6-8 Ka-28 ASW helicopter. 4Z-9 for gen.-purpose.

If you really like it that much, put it forward in a yahoo group. Maybe it'll show up somewhere as an actual future PLAN design. :)
