Another update on the carrier's progress from Mr. Big Cat (17-07-2016). Unfortunately, no photographs to accompany this time.

Thread title: "Thanks to the efforts of workers of the big ship (referring to the carrier), the hull is nearly complete, to welcome to 'verdict' of the arbitration"

[Reference to the SCS case].
[Thanks to inside informants and other relevant persons].
==Due to regulations on observations [of the construction], the below comments are deliberately inconclusive, as there has not yet been an official announcement on the state of the carrier's construction==
Current evidence suggests, the length and width of the flight deck is essentially the same [compared to 001], though some modifications have been made to the edges, as well as the lack of platforms for surface-to-air missile launchers [compared to 001's design]. This is in line with our original estimates, though the flight deck area hasn't really grown.
The internals and the island has also been modified [compared to 001]. This could result in a total displacement up to 5% greater, but the underwater hull shape was improved, which will give her better speed.
As for the possible increase in hanger size which everyone was excited about, there was insufficient data to reach a conclusion. So it's possible that there will not be much difference [compared to 001].
As per our estimates, the island does not appear to have been made smaller, even though there is little comparative evidence to support this claim, the possibility of a smaller island is low. For some parts, we really have to use [the mock-up] for reference.
On-site, we can see the final two upper hull modules sitting there, ready to be installed (shown in sketch below).

We can't see the shape of the island yet, but it's already a few storeys tall (sketch below).

That's that, the carrier will be launched in a matter of months, hehe.
