That's a great video. High res too. Some shots I had not seen before...though parts of it were on other videos too.

I developed a Flickr album called, "Life aboard the Chinese carrier, Liaoning." In it, I use about 50 pictures from recent exercises and flight operations to show the progress the Chinese are making with carrier operations.
It is impressive stuff and something many have wondered about in terms of what progress they are making.
I'd say they are making excellent progress, particularly considering that their first carrier ever was only commissioned three years ago. Here's a link to the album. Take a look at the whole thing. The [pictures are ordered chronologically with respect to operations.

Night operation?I added this on today...great shot of six J-15 aircraft on the Liaoning's stern.
I would not doubt it.
We have seen them launching and recovering a time or two in the evening...so I believe they are continuing to conduct exercises to do so.

Almost certainly. You can see the first J15 that has its canopy open with fuel hose attached. No need for that if they were just being parked there overnight.
If they were to conduct any night ops, at least half of those J15s would need to move to make space for landings, so likely it was a good sized exercise.
