Big difference between a pair of sidewinders on the wings. And what looks like full war load which is what those look like.
Well, the Growler in the first pic has a full war load, and the Superhornet in the 3rd has a good load on. But only the station on the tip on the folded portion in bot cases.

As I say below, the model aircraft look to be inaccurate and have too many stations filled with weapons on the folded portion of the wing.

The aim 9 has a weight of about just shy of 200pounds larger missiles like those seen on the models can easily go to 500pounds that is not including the weight of the wings so I think we are all in agreement that those model fighters are a case of impossible. Still the carrier looks good.

554 really looks well worn and hardened in this picture, indicative of lots of flights and probably a fair bit of exposure to the ocean's elements. Looks like it means business.

May many more J-15s look like such!

No kidding, there are like a total of 4 missiles on each wing, putting a lot of pressure and stress on those hinges where the wings are folded.

Thank you Steelbird. THAT is a magnificent model.

Looks to be either 1/48 or 1/32 scale. HUGE, and very detailed. Would love to have that model...but my 1/350 scale is big enough. The boss (wife) would never go for it, that thing would take up the entry hall and the living room end to end!

I wonder. did an individual build this? An institution (college or technical institute)? Or the military/government?

And the J-15s look to have too many weapons stations on the folded portion of the wings too.

That's a big job right there for someone.

I doubt any government did this. Look at the red word with an exclamation mark on the banner "牛!" which mean "cool!". This is a very common word in China to mean something cool, but is also very informal word which is not used in any formal document.

Would these models of fighters with wings folded be technically incorrect? Or does it happen in the real world where fighters have their wings folded with ordinance attached?

not with USN planes other than the wing-tip sidewinder, but the Su-33 seems carry heavier loads on the folded part -

Am I correct that those four squares are ordnance lifts? I was just wondering why there is not any other markings than a slight white line around them. Any pictures where they are open? Or are they just marked like that from the Russian heritage and they are not in use?

What ever they are they are welded shut.. look at the high res version of that photo by clicking the bar on top of the photo.

That was the picture I was looking and I surely cannot see from that picture any welding marks. Thought I am not a guy who has welded so much. :D What I _can_ see is consistent thin lines on the edges of those rectangles. That is why I was asking.
