I agree with most of what you say, Jeff, but I don't think that the fitting out time of Liaoning says anything for that for number two. So three years building and also three years for fitting out seems reasonable. That gives a good workload for the shipyard.
If JN will also be building flattops they will be amphibs of 40k or there about.

I think the air wings of the further carriers will be made available promptly also unlike what happened with Liaoning.

Probably designed by someone who googled aircraft carrier and took a USN one as his/her model. After all JN didn't yet build one.
Given all the publicity Liaoning CV got, especially the "shooter" pose, it's hard to imagine any media literate individual not noticing the ramp. Just saying.

It could be that the CATOBAR design is the most well known to civilians. I mean, before I got into military enthusiasm, I had no idea such an odd design(the STOBAR) could even exist!

Pardon if this was posted before but it's the clearest shot I've seen of the section that has been long speculated about.

What are the dimensions of the module? To make educated assumptions those values need to be known. Is does kinda look like a carrier but unless there is some frame of reference to the dimensions difficult to speculate. Keep in mind J15s are huge birds too.

By all accounts and purposes that imagine if true can only be a aircraft carrier under construction in that location

So I would say the Chinese carrier finally under construction going by those pics

Wow can that be true? I certainly think so !! Wow
