...and there you go.Two ROCAF E-2K upgraded from E-2T arrived in Kaohsiung airport in 2011.
Does not take long (most of the time) for someone on SD to come up with the exact nature of what we are looking at.

Yes.
And we are all anxiously hoping that the Liaoning will go to sea with even four J-15s.
I would personally, at this stage, like to see her go out with six J-15s and really start training up larger groups of pilots, and practicing some aircraft tactics, strike packages, etc.
That would be nice to see.
Those planes couldn't have flown off the Liaoning.
I haven't seen evidence of flight operation while Liaoning is in company of the task force (in other words actual operational training as oppose to conversion training). I imagine that will take another 1-2 years.

The whole point of the photo and the discussion was precisely that those aircraft, JH-7s, did not fly off of the Liaoning. Those planes couldn't have flown off the Liaoning.

I don't think Jeff was implying they were but rather hoping that when he sees some photo op in the future again it will be. Besides in that picture it's quite evident those are not Flanker airframes but clearly JH-7s in formation
