Another thing to note here is that the bridge can rotate to an extent.
Not to beat a dead horse, but the appearance of a RORO ferry further validates the point that these barges are meant to be stand-ins for harbors and ports rather than landing vessels to be used in a notional amphibious assault. It's almost mind-boggling to see people think that any Chinese operation on Taiwan would commence with a colossal amphibious landing operation against fully-defended beaches - it's almost as if China never learned a thing from the 1991 Gulf War and 2003 Iraq War.
In keeping with this premise, it can be expected that these Mulberry harbors will not be built in large numbers, simply because these would be operating in relatively peaceful settings rather than hostile territory where strength in numbers and force concentration become deciding factors.
If China shows mercy and doesn't fight with Taiwan, many brainwashed Taiwanese only think that's a sign of weakness, rather than being grateful.

It's funny how many people take him at face value just because of his experience in the US military and DoD.
That said, I'm convinced their (and other similar YouTubers') primary objective is to boost confidence in the ROCA—even if that means the use of misinformation. Which, frankly, I can see the need of such a strategy for them.

They know that ROCA is nothing, so they can only sanctify the US military and pray that the US military can solve all problems (which it can't). Then they transfer this worship to individual US military personnel, and through the individual's deliberate "affirmation" of ROCA, they create the illusion that ROCA is working again, forming a closed loop.
In a word, these barges offer PLAGF excellent fast & heavy support capability, that they can quickly transport several heavy combined battalions (about hundreds of heavy vehicles, including 99A tanks & HQ-XX SAMs) to any unexpected/weakly-defended coast in an hour, then quickly maneuver along coastal highways. When enemy discovers the penetration, it's already too late.
This is the capacity Russians failed to have when they tried to take Antonov Airport on D-day of the Ukraine War, finally leading to VDV's lose. Following fast heavy equipment support capacity directly decides the result of D-day's airborne and special operations.
Guancha Trios also pointed out that when finding these barges dock at shore, enemy will try every long-range weapon (like ATACMS) to destroy them. However, they'll finally find these barges very hard to destroy. With multiple underwater support rods, these barges are very similar to real concrete bridges, they won't sink easily.

Many Taiwanese think China under CCP is a paper tiger. What CCP is doing to Taiwan is all for propaganda. Paper tiger is someone who is very weak but still looks strong via propaganda. That's why China says a thousand times it wants to take Taiwan by force, but never do it, only drills & exercises & propaganda.
Many westerners also have similar opinions. China is weak. China is about to collapse due to serious economy issues. Communism can't innovate because of censorship. China's economy is so problematic that 1/4 of college students can't find jobs. These are all because Xi's trying to recover Mao's Communism. With a weak economy & shaking country, China is not able to defeat Taiwan backed by liberal strong Western World. So all they can do is bluff and bluster, praying Taiwan to surrender without fighting. A country haven't been in a war for 40 years don't have balls to fight, also is not capable of fighting.
Sth like Deepseek are pure propaganda, they're not real, they're copyed from western things. Even if they're real, they're the last liberal power that'll finally defeat CCP's communism from inside. You can tell that from deepseek's censorship to see the divergence between the two.
What China need is to easily defeat Taiwan (and also Western power remains in Indo-Pacific if necessary) in a real war. By then, all information cocoons are gone.
