It's hard for you to judge what kind of mentality these people have.
If you follow the comments of their netizens, you will feel that they are truly full of confidence. Their attitude was very contemptuous, completely fearless.

They are quite proud of their achievements in disrupting public opinion with their internet army. They believe that their enemies are helpless against them.

In short, these people will treat all military exercises as a bluff and intimidation, unless you really throw bombs at them from a plane. Perhaps this is because they believe that only government officials will receive severe punishment, or they believe that war will not happen in the future.

They acted like extreme right wings or even NAZI and always spreads ideas of eliminating all Chinese and DPP opponents in Taiwan. What they want is only DPP dicitatship even though it rule is quite corrupt........

Definitely more than usual, probably a response to Lai's speech the other day. Hope they can sustain this cadence.

So there are a couple interesting things here.

First, I believe this is the first time we've seen two joint combat readiness patrols in a day, per the Twitter post below

Second, consider the involvement of UAVs. One might see as obvious—"of course UAVs would be involved". But it actually demonstrates slow and steady progress. First, they fly a single UAV around the island; then, they fly two; and now, they integrate them into larger-scale exercises.

Shilao and Yankee make interesting points about barges in broadcast: the most troublesome thing for ROCA is that when a battalion of PLA SF and air assault battalion occupied the highway and coastal shallows, ROCA cannot just sent a Combine Arms Battalion to hold them back until the reinforcements arrive or these PLA troops runs out of supplies. Otherwise hours later they will be surprised to find that they need to deal with type 99A instead of light infantry. ROCA not only has to defend everywhere, but also has to counterattack everywhere to push the PLA back into the sea, otherwise the “tentacles of Industrial Cthulhu” will crawl onto the coast. And they will find that they can't defend anywhere due to the lack of manpower, and the initiative will be reversed.

Which one is this?

Good job Donald. Your recent actions convinced this Chinese lib that Taiwan is pretty much effed, especially since the Pan-Green has squandered mainland good will with their hatred against mainlanders.
I always said that the "separate Taiwanese identity" is dumb and makes no sense for this reason. Mainland loves Taiwanese actors and musicians. When the mainland entertainment industry was less developed, they had an outsized influence, even more than HK since they had Mandarin in common. Instead of building a kind of identity like "We are family that disagree, you wouldn't want to hurt your family, would you?", they pursue the strategy of "I hate you, you are my enemy, we have nothing in common". Well that makes it all the much easier to punch you in the face if it comes to that...

Many Taiwanese think China under CCP is a paper tiger. What CCP is doing to Taiwan is all for propaganda. Paper tiger is someone who is very weak but still looks strong via propaganda. That's why China says a thousand times it wants to take Taiwan by force, but never do it, only drills & exercises & propaganda.

Many westerners also have similar opinions. China is weak. China is about to collapse due to serious economy issues. Communism can't innovate because of censorship. China's economy is so problematic that 1/4 of college students can't find jobs. These are all because Xi's trying to recover Mao's Communism. With a weak economy & shaking country, China is not able to defeat Taiwan backed by liberal strong Western World. So all they can do is bluff and bluster, praying Taiwan to surrender without fighting. A country haven't been in a war for 40 years don't have balls to fight, also is not capable of fighting.
Sth like Deepseek are pure propaganda, they're not real, they're copyed from western things. Even if they're real, they're the last liberal power that'll finally defeat CCP's communism from inside. You can tell that from deepseek's censorship to see the divergence between the two.

What China need is to easily defeat Taiwan (and also Western power remains in Indo-Pacific if necessary) in a real war. By then, all information cocoons are gone. :p
